OMG ! what a trip down memory lane,i have not driven around there since i left for Australia 10 yrs ago. thanks for the vid,now i am home sick !!!!!!!!!!!
Some changes since 1936.. no dual carriageways then. Actually looking at that vid section on the 'Brae' , reminds me of when was a young'un in 1970 , I had to be on 'duty' in Ards at four in the morning, once a week in a snowy Dec/Jan. I had an old 1200 Anglia, and the roads being empty !!...boy did i have fun down that Brae! Not that I was a 'boy racer' or anything... but she could fly at the top of the Carrowreagh!! she retired to the big scrapyard in the sky ...Hammy Stewarts in Ardmillan!!
