They have two teeth, one that extends out of the upper right jaw(tusk) which is usually found on the male and another small tooth that is on the upper right side of the jaw. But every one in five hundred males have two tusks.

their "tusk" is actually a tooth that grows outward made of ivory, similar to the African Elephant, thats why they were harvested in the earlier centuries
