You can still get a very nice crunchy sound outta the dirty fingers I have the Epiphone Prophecy LP GX and can grind out some Hatebreed, Megadeth, and Pantera licks.

If you like EMG's, I would strongly recommend putting a set of Seymour Duncan's blackouts in your guitar..

I used to be an EMG guy, but I won't even play them anymore because the blackouts are so much better suited to me.

i got the same guitar =D it suits my punk-rock-hc style pretty well, and since i own a fender 212r amp, the normal sound is pretty sween and let's me play ska like a beast lol

I have tried the prophecy with dirty fingers pickups, but I prefer the emgs because they suit my playing better.I don't know about the clean tone but dirty fingers are more like rock pickups rather than metal.
