I dont get this whole "measure the gap between the ass and yadda yadda". Take it from a pro, pet keepers: the foolproof way to check the sex of anything is CHECKING IT FOR BALLS. lol
The tank is too small, don't hold the mouse by the tail, mice are not a pet for children, they need more toys and branches to climb on,they should not live alone, you should have at least two mice, male mice have to be fixed to life together, there have to be more than 15cm of bedding,so they can dig. People should not put up vids about how to care for a mouse,if they have wrong informations....
@HelloHenni There mice. They don't need extreme luxury. What I do? Buy a big Kritter Keeper Cage, but some wire mesh at the plastic where they can chew away, Place newspaper shavings, feed, water, toys. I play with him alot, make him mazes ect. And the video doesn't tell you to pick it up by the tail. The base of the tail, so you can put your hand under it. My mouse is extremely happy. >_>
mmmm meal worms, top of the line nutrition, to bad they crawl all over your cage and then get out then you find them places you don't want to find bugs.
i have 1 mice that calm and the other one isnt it can jump very high and it cry each time i i play with it how can i tame it it escaped from me 2 time
I ran into a little gray something with a long tail. I'm not sure if it was a house mouse or a baby rat, he was in the middle of my kitchen around noon. I do not want to hurt him, I'm not going to.
I've found some good tips on trapping him, does anyone know if there is a chance that I could turn him into a pet?
@TheBucketSkill Yes, that 4 yr lifespan is for 1 out of about 5 or 6 mice. Most live only to two. I've owned hamsters (similar to mice) and they've lived two. Likewise, the lifespan for humans can reach 114, but how many of us actually live to that?
I had to get rid of my mice because of my cousin, he used to pick them up by the tip of the tail and drop them and throw them everywhere:( I miss having them...
@Digityjardog yeah man, my 3 mice love aspen bedding thats the one i use. aspen and care fresh are recommended 4 small animals. just don't use pine or cedar.
hey i have a question i found a baby boy mouse that was wild and my cat was toying wuth it and it was barley alive. now i amkeeping him in a cardboard bok with bunny pellets news paper and a little cap with water in it. and i dont want to hold him but ive been holding him by a sock and hes really cold. is this safe and give me a few pointerss on mice this is my first pet that is from the wild!
@smilez3344 You should not keep wild mice as pets. They'll get stressed and die very quickly in captivity with the human handling and all. Just keep the mouse warm and feed it when possible. How big is it, if it's still alive now?
what the hell, i aint givin my mices no mealworms none, they r the disgustingest things ever and aint no mice goin eat it aint. mayne whah yall thankin.
@wowjman713 how am I a cheap ass Jew when ur name is jman and that obviously stands for Jew man. If u call me cheap for trying to spend only a little bit of money because I am only thirteen and don't have a steady income of money. Then go ahead. Be my guest. Dick head
Will they drink from a bowl? I don't want to spend unneccasary money on a bottle if they will. And is it okay to have one story in stead of two? Also, I have a branch that's been sterilized. Can I put it in their cage so they can climb?
@rwjrock1 i just started the video AND HECK NO I AINT' GIVING BUGS TO MIDNIGHT my mouse i don't even know why i am watching this, i have cared for mice for a very long time.
@clamy97 Glass cages are fine if the roof allows airflow. I have kept many many mice in glass or plastic homes with no problem at all. They clean a lot easier too.
@BinkiMaus1 holding cage is something to put all the mice or watevr in wile u clean the entire mian cage. very handy. BUT mice stink like hell so yeah
i got 2 Mice yesturday afternoon :) male and female. hopefully gonna breed them. iv had five Mice!! but 2 died. 1 like last year or at the start of this year and the other in like second or third term holidays. :( so i got 3 right now. i'll tell u the names.... the 1st one i got i called Mousie..LoL....2nd Coco...he died unfortunately :(.....3rd....Pipsqueak.....she died sadly :(..... and now Mickey and Minnie Mouse which are hopefully gonna breed ;P
This is like the best care video for mice. cause I kinda question expert village cause I lisende to them for care and my mice got super sick but Video Jug's info help me way more
Just rescued a little mouse and want to get it a friend...but I have no idea what gender it is. Better go take a look at that. If it is female will it be okay to get her another female from a diffrent litter? Will they fight because I don't want my mouse to get hurt.
@DarkAngelAzreil it doesnt really matter what litter they come from. its just better if they are sisters or are the same age. anyway is the Mouse that u "saved" ferrel? coz if it is u can not get another Mouse to put with it because if the Mouse has any sort of disease the other Mouse can catch it and maybe you.
@kungfoolai Yeah, you can get another one.. But make sure the other mouse you are about to get isn't also a male.. Because bucks (male mice) are kind of territorial and will most likely attack any new bucks introduced..
how do you know about how young they are without being told because i bought some and i have no age how old they are i will be going back soon to ask and but some accesories for them but i'd like to know
dont pick up mice wth the tail !!! not even from the base (with support from the other hand) its no good !!! you know nothing about mice and i suffer with them !!!

1 to 2 years? Wow that's a pretty short life span.

@MDthornton83 No, mice are actually 6 mons to a yr life span. I think it's hamsters that live 2 yrs because they are less active.

@AutopsyReport22 Wrong. The maximum possible lifespan ever recorded, was 4 years. Average is 2.
