  • To me...this is THE Everly Brothers song.

  • this was my openings dance @ my wedding in 1992, still loving it madly !

  • T_T

  • 1962

  • If you ever served in Vietnam in the 60's, this song represented the peaceful Sunday afternoon - when the war was put on hold for just a few hours.

  • @hc8888 Thanks for serving....you guys were the best. So glad you had that peaceful Sunday and made it back home. A hero's proud wife

  • ini lagu bahasa inggris pertama yang saya apal liriknya dan bisa dinyanyiin.

    Hahahahaha

  • I am laughing my self silly at the visual of Margaret Everly creeping around to torch Dons lodge or push Phils house off a clift. I never did get the full story of why they wanted her out of that house, but you can bet they would have seen that she was well cared for. Those boys really loved their momma and she adored them. Is she still living ? would be in her 90s, right ? She was 19 when Don was born and he's 74.

  • Sweetie, 70 yr olds can do a lot of things that would suprise you.We still know enough to appreicate the Everlys, who, I might add are in their 70s.

  • If and when I get married again this will be one of my wedding songs. I will probably bawl and cry when I hear this lol.. :)

  • this song is so sweet, I love it

  • my parents loves this song and include me! i love the old the style of songs

  • That is a good idea .. having this as a wedding song. Thanks for posting this. They slowed songs down from their sixties version, but the quality of voices still comes through!

  • This song makes me cry....it touches me so..

  • Love this song. Their haronies are so incredible. Thanks Phil and Don

  • It is an honor and privilege to know I am part of the Everly Family. My grandmother, Betty Jackson told me many stories of "the good old days" living in Central City, Ky. Thanks Everly Brothers for all those fond memories I got to share with you.

  • I'm 21, but I listen to this song. When I marry someday, I will play this song.. nothing else of today can exude soul, meaning, emotions and strength of message like these songs do.

  • i wish there was a video of this song with the long solo by albert lee.absolutly mind blowing!

  • i am having this as the first dance at my wedding In october

this is Our song the lyrics say it all

  • In 58 and 59 Lived in Jacksonville Beach Fl Hated it. But a young girl my the name of Jean Arnold made it worth while. Don t know what happened or where she is at. She carried me throught rough times without knowing. Pray your life turnned out well.

  • @starr522 What a lovely message, Starr. Makes a nice change on here!

  • We found this song as we watched the movie Flipped. And know we want this played at our marriage!

  • I have been a fan of the Everlys since the 1950's. Saw them perform in Belfast in the mid eighties. No duo could harmonise like Don and Phil.

  • @9mrmac must have been either at the Grosvenor Hall. I remember the last concert they did in Belfast in 1991 with Duanne Eddy at the Dundonald Ice Bowl. Met them in the Europa Hotel afterwards.

  • these guys certainly know how to tear at your heart strings.... fantastic harmony,s

  • One of the best songs ever.

They sing it straight from the heart as always.

God bless Phil & Don Everly!!

  • KLEENEX MUST HAVE MADE A FORTUNE WITH THIS VIDEO....WOW..

GILBERT BECAUD's MASTERPIECE SUNG HERE LIVE BY DON AND PHIL EVERLY

ERIK TIELMAN aka RICKY TEAL, FLORIDADADAAA

  • I'm 20. I doubt I'll ever get married [i don't get along with people-from NYC] but if I ever do, I want this to be my wedding song.

  • One of the most beautiful songs written - and sung by these brothers just brings tears to my eyes. Loved them in the 50s, 60s and now.

  • i love this music

  • i love this

  • A fantastic song, written by a French dude. Still one of the best love songs ever.

  • This was our wedding song almost 25 years ago. We still have it played whenever we can

  • The Everly Brothers are the Best

  • Heaven opened the door for these two brothers, so they could share Love only the Heart Feels and will always be!

  • WE LUF DON & PHIL EVERLY..DON'T WE...??

    ERIK TIELMAN, FLORIDADADAAA

  • ......gives me goosebumps....songs just don't do that anymore

  • This song makes me think of you my Nanny love. I love you from your Larry

  • i love those brothers!

  • So very beautiful. I love this rendition. Some of the BEST harmonies of all time!

  • :'( its so beautiful

  • Love the Everly Brothers, love this song, and love Phil Everly's winning smile at 2:08! What a great post! (I see I'm not the only one who likes it!)

  • see Bret C. Harmon's "Dreams".

    Enjoy!

  • Classic - awesome rendition of this song !

  • Yes. I did see them at the Royal Albert Hall from Box Seats although it twasn't this particular concert. Must have been in '86 or so. Saw them also at LuLus in Kitchener, Ontario. The Royal was, I have to say, one of the best concerts I have ever attended. What I noticed was that separately their voices weren't breathtaking but together no-one could beat their harmonies. I would love to see them again in Toronto but would venture to the U.S. if they were back on the road. Jim U.

  • Quite possibly the best harmony ever.

  • I tried to go to their 2005 concert and tried to get a job that would have sent my to London around that time, but didnt get the job. Then I bought tickets to the Las Vegas Show, but the Everly brothers cancelled after they were done with the London show. I hope they do more concerts.

  • I am retarded nad have autism I'm a midget help

  • i flipped

  • JUST BEAUTIFUL!!! I KNOW THEY'VE MADE THEIR MAMA PROUD!!!!

  • Dougie and Suzie:Since you're two feet apart on the sofa, typing on a laptop, could you maybe just talk to each other and spare the rest of us this drivel?

  • they sound tired. song slowed down quite a bit. original version was better.

  • great song :D

  • i flipped.

  • Wonderful. Tune in to Brenda Lee's rendition, which brought me to tears.

  • they are awesome with this song. ...but I gotta say elvis did a better job withit in my eyes. I may ruffle a few feather's but it's my honest opinion and everyone is entitled to that!!

  • I love this song. It reminds me of my mother who passed away 4 years ago. Tomorrow would have been her 59th birthday. She was at this concert in Royal Albert Hall and she had the time of her life. Thanks for posting this. Happy Birthday to my mum tomorrow.

  • this song played at the end of the movie Fliped it was such a great choice and i just had to find it its lovely

  • @AdensDsky oh yeah me too it was a nice film though

  • I dedicated this song to my partner Gordon. The words are so lovely and the singing is brilliant. Every time we hear the song the words mean more and more to us.

  • I was at this concert. The Royal Albert Hall, London England. One of the best concerts I have ever attended and I have seen a lot.

  • @videoprom But... this isn't the Royal Albert Hall, it's Her Majesty's Theatre.

  • @megasuggs Ok, ok fine. Maybe I had a couple of drinks. I was there ... but maybe they weren't ...

  • @megasuggs let it always be THE EVERLY BROTHERS. sure wish they would do just one more song.

  • @megasuggs In Canada they got into a fight on stage.

  • @videoprom ΜΕ ΤΟΟ ! IT was fantastic as you said ,a priveledge

  • @videoprom How lucky you were to see that show! I'm old enough to remember the days before the Beatles took over and changed music. The Everly Brothers were the ones I felt the saddest about losing. Do you remember what year this concert was held?

  • @videoprom '....I AM JALOUS !!!..' ..LOL LETS STAY DEVOTED, ERIK TIELMAN, FLORIDADADAA

  • @videoprom This was not at the Royal Albert Hall. Live from Her Majestys - I remember watching it live when his guitar string broke.

  • Beautiful song beautifully song but also agree that the synth/organ is annoying.

  • Just beautiful!

  • This is one of my favourite songs.

  • this song bonded me to my 1st love... but i have lost him. now i have found the song again, but my love is still lost. i have only memories

  • Most people don't realize that these groups and songs are so popular in the rest of the world. It is a shame that we don't embrace our own. Maybe the world is telling us that our past is what made everyone love America. I think our music today has something to do with it's uncertainty.

Music should always have a postive message somewhere. And we are lacking that.

  • @thepoopie2 Yeah, your country has provided the rest of us with great artists and tunes. I love the Beach Boys, Everly Bros, Four Seasons, Diana Ross Neil Sedaka etc, the list is endless. Us Brits have chipped in a bit also, I think there has always been a healthy competition between the artists to improve i.e. Beatles/Beach Boys - Sgt Pepper - Pet Sounds.

  • We danced to this song until the very wee hours of the morning in 1962.

We are still married 49 years later and stlll dancing......Thanks Everly Brothers.

  • @wavelinked

  • Its the Most Peacefully Romantic Song

I feel so good when I listen to this song

  • They let it be me......1

  • i love this song. Thanks a lot.

  • Here(was this 1985?), they seem more removed from each other than at the reunion concert in "83. Here they look at the audience, but in '83 they looked at each other a lot more. I wonder if their differenceds had resurfaced by '85

  • @aynatn Its a shame too, I always wanted to see them in concert. But every time they get close by, they seperate.

  • such a classic

  • Still in fine voice. The brothers[particuarly Don] look a bit uncomfortable in those tailored suits. Have seen them twice in a more "casual" environment at the Fairfield Halls. Great shows.

  • definitivamente las canciones de antes eran mas romanticas y con mas sentido te llegaban al corazon

  • long live don and phil----thanks for all your great memories

  • @usernamesarebanal no its not.

  • This song does sound similar to "I'll be there"

  • i no i was born when this came out but what a song allways put a tear in my eye <3 x

  • Not the royal variety, just "live from Her Majesty's" on TV.

  • @megasuggs Beautiful song! Check out my version, just search for Dan Savik.

  • Lovely song, and what great voices.

I remember seeing this when it was first broadcast. I believe it was at the London Paladium.

  • @tectorama Thanks for your comment, it was "live from Her Majesty's Theatre actually"

  • @megasuggs

Thanks for that, I knew it was somewhere in London. Was it the Royal variety performance ?

At least we can see it was filmed in November.

  • @megasuggs Actually, it was from their reunion concert at Prince Albert Hall.

  • @dlinture48 Actually, I was at the reunion concert, I also have the reunion concert on video, but this performance was at Her Majestys in London, Check out the bass player, It is Phil Cranham, Phil didn't play at the reunion concert, this was a couple of years after the reunion, they only did four songs in this set.

  • "Without your sweet love, what would life be?" Every time i take time to appreciate my beautiful wife of 32 years, i realize i don't ever want to know.
