It is their given duty to speak to the accused in a recorded interview to get as much evidence as to the truth of the incident in question. If that means arresting someone at 5am then so be it. The fact that he turned out to be not-guilty is completely irrelevant. To expect the Police to only arrest guilty people is complete madness. If you accused someone of a crime, you'd want them arrested too.
