I use it for work and I only had t pull it a few times and when I did the expression on the fugitive face was priceless, you want to talk intimidation I'm a big guy,and this beast matches my palms perfect with a hogue rubber grip it's a beast, love the vid keep up the good work
@000bountyagent000 Yeah, I've been around the "gun community" since before Glock was en-vogue. Everyone called them toy guns, Matell, plastic crap, etc, etc... Glock was a paradigm shift based on design. Hi-Point is as well based investment.
I have the 45 as well.its a great gun.the only mod is an hoge 17000 handball slipon.now its perfect.now lookin for a holster for conceal and open carry thxs for vid
@bennra26008 You are welcome and thanks for sharing. There's a also a company called "What a grip" that makes slip on grips for rackets that also work quite well and are inexpensive.
they are ugly, but theyre proven, and if anything happens to it AT ALL, theyll just send you a new gun. too ugly for my taste, but i got a glock and a kahr. still know that gun works, very well. other than looks, the only big issue to me is is magazine capacity for the size of the gun. once again though your right, that gun is a hella better than nothing, and pretty good for the money.
@eric21881 Yeah they aren't pretty... but... a God Cup doesn't make the bad guy any deader either, right? ;-) Thanks for commenting, much appreciated.
@Hottrodpt The slide is a bit wide for me, to consider for carry, but some do. You might check out the Hi-Point firearms forum for more info on it. Good place to ask questions without asshats etc... hipointfirearmsforumsDOTcom/forum/
How many failures of all types have you had with your High Point? I'd like to help my sister and daughter get something however a failure under stress could well be fatal. I am leaning heavily towards a revolver for that reason however if I could answer these questions and be confident that every time the trigger is pulled it goes bang the extra rounds and stopping power would be nice.
@flwalt IMO if your sister and her daughter are completely untrained in firearms, and will probably not have any continuing training, I'd get them a wheel gun. .38 special or something. That being said, we have many hi-points in the family and they are work great. We have .45's and 9MM's etc... I have no problem trusting any of my hi-points. I have the .45 featured here in my night stand quick access box now. Hope that helps? If not send me a PM and I'll help where/if I can. Cheers and God Bless

Ahh it's good for tight wads too Screw the political correct snobs..Great video..I see these at EVERY gun show for a great price and I hear great reliably them. And you cant beat the Craftsman life time warranty they have..Oh I am a Glock/S.W. guy..
@runninonempiy I've never regretted paying for quality but if a Hi-Point is all one can afford, it's a damn good weapon for the money. In my experience most people who like to trash them have never owned one, let alone shot one. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel.
Luv tha video & the baby in the back ground. Also appreciate yoiur comment on the brother in-law and the high point. I was goping through that also. Will Subcribe & God Bless Brother!
@GNut1980 The .380 would be a great weapon to teach new shooters. Very little to no recoil etc. Not sure why else you'd want one though, unless it's complete your collection. It's nearly the exact same size/weight as the 9MM. Thanks for supporting my channel. ;-)
youre right..nothin at all wrong with hipoints..had my c9 since 2009 and to date round count is 4,126 rounds...i admit when new it jammed once at the range took it back next day it jammed again then i took it home rubbed the coating off the feedramp then after that no issues..maybe it was the break in maybe it was the feedramp polished idk and the other issue i had with it was with tulammo..mine hates it..makes the mag fall out the gun..other than that excellent gun.
My father owns a High- Point 9mm. I shot it a couple times and the only problem I had was with a magazine with an extended base plate. With that particular mag the gun failed to feed. However, with the regular magazine the gun fired all day long. I would buy one for the home, but I wouldnt want to have the gun not feed in a life threatening situation. Nice Video and HI- POINT'S dont suck :)
All manufacturers have issues at times. You can find videos of pretty much any manufacturer that makes a few lemons out there. Hi-Point does however offer a no questions asked lifetime warranty even if you are not the original owner... So personally I'm really not too worried about it. Responsible gun ownership is thoroughly shooting and testing any new weapon, regardless of manufacturer. Good input though, thanks for commenting and sharing.
From what I've seen, the problem with Hi Points is their consistency in quality. Hi point will put out many guns that work, and many that don't work. I've seen some videos with people who have issues with their Hi points. A firearm can hold up for a short period, but can it hold up through the years?
