Taxonomy or Categories

I'll be working with Drupal pretty soon as part of my internship. I'm currently working on some other things so I don't actually have time to try it out yet, I'm just watching some tutorials during spare time. So can anyone tell me if it's possible classify a story in multiple categories? Lets say "Cars" and "4x4"

Ok. This is drupal 5. With drupal 6 it is a little more different.

i'm the guessing the original video was for drupal 5, for drupal 6 is categories now called taxonomy?

yeah ... what if i want to add brand model ... for example ... mercedes has E, C, S class ... AUDI has A4, A6, A8 .. and then just view AUDI's which are model A4 ... how to do that ...

So really taxonomy is nothing more than an end user convenience for listing? Meaning, it is a tag to order content in a way the end user would like to see it.

i.e. if i were on ebay i could click a list of most expensive, longest auction, shortest auction, etc?

right? or did i miss the point?

Info is good, but the music is very distracting. Almost gave up watching to go look for another video.

As another commenter noted, "tastes are different". That's true. It made wonder if some people would enjoy watching this while being subjected to a relentless drip of water droplets on their forehead.

Next time try the soundtrack from the opening scenes of 'Psycho' for a distinctive acoustic milieu.

Thanks. People still use the term taxonomy. That such a confusing word for this. Categories makes much more sense in the first place. Why didnt they do this before.
