An FE Ford is a great choice, with the Thick-wall casting of an FE the higher weight would tend to keep the front end down...unlike most other "modern" V8s'.....with their "light" castings, let alone the All-Aluminum versions.

LOL it beat the Massey 55 with a 454 in it, also went 2 mph faster than the 454 and the one with the small block chevy. Awesome pull for a 390, put a 428 crank in it for 410 cu in and a longer stroke and it will add lots of torque.

Rebuild it was a 428 crank. That will add a ton of torque.

Completly ran out of torque @ the end. Try a cam with LESS duration, with an intake with LONGER runners or even a small blower. Real nice . A1 !

@kennethrobinson11231 I USE TO BE BRAINWASHED BY CHEVYS ALSO AND FINALLY SAW WHAT BOB GLIDDEN WAS DOING TO CHEVYS THEN I RAN A FORD 351 CLEVELAND AND A 390 AND LEARNED MY LESSON. NOW I KNOW WHAT IVE BEEN MISSING. THE FORDS MAKE WAY MORE TORQUE THAN A CHEVY. ILL NEVER WASTE MY MONEY ON A CHEVY AGAIN. LMFAO
