Woman that appears in this video is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Maybe the most beautiful! She's presented in the way that really expresses her physical, but also a spiritual beauty.
@MrJohnnyInterista The woman in the photo is Paulina Porizkova, former sports illustrated cover model, married to the guy, Ric Ocasek with the black hair since 89.
Very beautiful harmonies in this song, I wouldn't call it romantic though, like someone up above did! It's a tragic tale, & depressing, but hauntingly sweet sounding. Absolutely NO offense meant to Ben Orr(may he rest in peace), but actually, Ric Ocasek wrote this song, which i found to be surprising. Also surprised he let Ben sing it! He was smart enough to realize Orr's voice was more appropriate for this song.
This song used to make me cry. It reminds me of the time my Dad was teaching me to drive when I was about 8 or 9 year old (he would work the pedals of course). A few weeks before my 10th birthday he committed suicide while sitting in the family car.
@mikey39712002 Thanks. I changed my channel name. We all suffer in life and there is always at least that 1 song that brings back the memory of lost love, hope, and joy.
this is my favourite 80s song. it is a true masterpiece and an amazing song. the instrumentals alone are incredible <3. also my favourite tune when I'm driving thanks for posting
This is my favorite song of the 80's hands down, nothing else comes close. The girl is to much to handle, but he doesn't give up on her.........its timeless.
"Mutt" Lange is a musical genius......he produced this and many other amazing masterpieces of the 80's......his production was ahead of it's time ......madd respect!
This is my most favorite romantical masterpiece ever. So simple and so timeless. I don't understand the music of today. I grew up with the right music as a kid back in the decade that rocked the most - Love my Eighties!
a beautiful song, makes me cry

Its sad how all of these great singers have died, Rick ocasic, Michael jackson, Whitney Houston. They are the people who really have the talent.

The Cars are one of my favorite bands of all time. I remember this video on Mtv... (yes, Mtv use to play video's)......song still gives me chills.

So simplistic in the lyrics, yet such a powerful message. The music that accompanies compliments the lyrics well.
I've always loved this song. I think this is The Cars best work.
