  • My dentist said I need a root canal on a molar and when I inquired about alternatives I was told there are no alternatives... either clean the root out and fill it, or pull the tooth. So in watching this video I'm lead to believe the cavity could have just been filled rather than me paying $800 for a root canal???? Never mind the additional $700 the dentist wants for a crown...

  • When I was growing up in the 90s I had about 8 amalgam fillings on my milk teeth (I think the dentist just wanted money to be honest and put fillings everywhere they could) and in my adult teeth ive now got atleast 6 amalgam including 1 root canal. Ive maybe got 2 more at the very back but i cant see. So should I really worry? Or is it a "fluoride in your water like the nazis" type thing? Here in the UK it would cost allot for me to have them removed so I will never do anything about it.

  • Hi just need some info on my problem.. I went to the dentist for a regular check up . He said that i had a cavity. He fixed the cavity and the tooth next to it has sensivity now because of the work... When cold liquids or air hits the tooth its painful. He looked at the tooth and said that my nerve was exposed and i would need a root canal... Why the tooth had no problem now i need a root canal>>>? Help what should I do?

  • VOTE YES ON QUESTION 3!!! Stop funding the hack pensions that we in the private have no chance of ever getting. Put the MTA out of business!!

  • In some people it looks good the metal fillings.

  • So what is the correct way, the safest way to remove amalgam fillings and do you fill them up with gold fillings or what? What's the safest replacement metal?

  • i love the way they never tell you that one of the metals they use to make amalgam consists of about 50% mercury mixed with 50% silver, if the amalgam filling tooth is taken out it is considered

toxic waste and trated as such. oh yea, and the World Health Organization states that 80% of your total body burden exposure to mercury in your life will come from amalgam fillings. mercury is the 2nd most toxic substance known to man next to plutonuim. but they never tell you that!!!!

  • Also, people used to (and a few still do) use mercury and silver in micrograms as a cureall. PEOPLE WOULD EAT MERCURY AND SILVER ON A REGULAR BASIS. Why, just do a quick search for Silver Biotics to find a popular silver supplement. My point is that silver and mercury are not as evil as that mercury thermometer fiasco in the 90s led us to believe.

  • Of course mercury is not evil, evil is a human quality. people also drank glasses of plutonium to show how safe it was when first researching it, didnt work out to well for them. maybe you should do a search on how mercury affects brain cells, there is a video ( mircoscope) images of what happens and tell me its ok to consume

  • People don't eat mercury anymore, only silver. The most silver does is make your skin a little blue.

  • You should look to some studies before telling people that... The amount of mercury is SO much lower than the dose needed for diseases... every people a little intelligent will tell you that

  • @TheWheelsofIndustry

Now they use resins. The best solution would be to grow teeth again, jaja, only sharks and other animals do.

  • a root canal is basically taking the nerve out of the tooh right?? and what determines a root canal and once the nerve out the tooth is basicly dead right?

  • no its basically dilling out the various canals that run through the roots of your teeth and getting out the bacteria and decay in there

  • i'm addicted to over the counter temporary tooth filling right.. it lasts months before you have re-do it.

  • Sir, I notice the way that you avoided the mention of mercury in the amalgam filling.

You should always operate full disclosure if you are going to educate.

Just to put a balance on things, it seems that "there is mercury and then there is MERCURY"

It's the same stuff, but when it's bound up it seems not to degrade. I suppose that might explain why a "silver" filling is still around 10 years later.

That said, it is good to educate people..

  • thank you very much

  • wow ive had 2 cavities and i thought that was bad lol, after reading abunch of root canals and shit 2 cav's aint so bad

  • NEVER NEVER NEVER let a dentist use formaldehyde, lead or mercury in your root canal. It is called Sargenti Paste and may other aliases rc2b, rc2w, tcm... and is denounced by almost all of mainstream dentistry. It can cause permanent debilitating harm and even threaten your life. ASK. SAY NO NO NO

  • THANKS FOR THE INFO

  • @worstrootcanalever

what would they use it if it's dangerous and also, what alternative do u recommend?

  • @runtubefantasy the industry standard is gutta percha. And MANY pediatric dentists (probably others) are using a material, formocresol, 19% formaldehyde, on our toddler's baby teeth. Hospital wings have been evacuated, dental office personnel sent to the ER for a ONE OUNCE spill, yet dentists think it is ok to put this in our children's mouth. It is only OK because it is unknown to the general public. Apparently we need to become more educated before going to the dentist.

  • there is no way a filling can substitute a root canal situation. A root canal is pretty much the death of your tooth it will start falling apart after the bacteria has got a hold of your root canals. It will literally crumble like a tree full fo termites. No filling can fix this. You have to empty out yor root and fill it back up with cement and a metal alloy post then a crown or even a dental implant.

  • very true my mom was putting off my root canal until one day i was sitting and talking and a piece of my tooth just broke off causing immense pain by touching the nerver until i had to take the other cracked piece off that wastouching it...pure hell. i was in the dentist chair the next day.

  • So what does this have to do with a root canal? From what I see, not a thing.

  • does anyone know what this dentists name is? Thanks.

  • oh i'm sorry i was waiting for the alternative to a root canal

  • Has any of this been accepted by a dental association?
