  • Well my ice rink is working and it's the middle of November BC canada

  • I am sure that's a lot of work....Good job you guys !

  • is that ur own arena

  • do they still making ice like that? this can be a one man job! go offer Luke Tookalook from Umiujaq, just pay his plane ticket, hotel rent and couple bucks an hour he'll do the line perfectly

    lol

  • and i think the ice at my arena sux. I feel a lot more grateful that we actually have a real zamboni where my team plays. I guess they aren't government funded

  • looks like a pain in the ass to work in that arena.

  • Hockey is one of the best sports next to baseball football soccer and lacrosse

  • the arena must be frozen...

we use a mixture of real and synthetic materials to make it freeze faster and we dont need to keep the arena at below 0 degrees...

i would hate to play here

  • all u gotta do is keep the concrete under the ice below freezing lol...u still need a cold air tempature tho

  • haha, a welfare rink,

  • Like if you go to an ice rink and lick the ice under you it taste like soap. But you will die.

  • ??? but u will die??? how??

  • How to make ice, water + cold = ice...

  • indoor natural ice..thats strange..whole building is under 0 ? ..what if it gets hotter :o...took 12 hours to make an ice at my arena w00t

  • 12 hours eh wow you must have good dehumidifiers and one heck of a plant when we make ice we have to do it reely slow and do a max of 2 hose floods a day or 3 boom floods

  • what do u mean artificial ice??

  • Artificial ice is cce that is made with pipes that run under the ice to cool it.

  • in more depth amonia runs in pipe lines under the cement or sand wich goes into the ice plant and is cooled in the cooling tower if your gonna tell sombody information make shure you tell them everything

  • And if you tell tehm things, try to be accurate/correct. The pipes that run beneath the ice surface do NOT carry ammonia...they carry brine. The brine is chilled (or cooled to well below freezing temperature) in a "chiller" that's found in a mechanical room. The chiller contains the very dangerous ammonia.

  • I want to be a smartass too! Brine is actually a saltwater mix that freezes at a much lower temp than normal water.

  • they use methenol or nitrogen not amonia you fuck wad

  • artificial ice is also that syntetic ice stuuf like superglide that requires no refrigeration or resurfacing and feels like real ice

  • This a great clip... wish it was longer!
