That's totally hilarious you mention a lazy future what with the occupy cry babies wanting everything handed to them for free, no work involved, blah blah, blah, etc.....
@TeeBeeBad53 while i found this video hypnotizing, and the lyrical subject matter weird, especially for the future, i found the show worse that a jetson's reunion holiday special. their future was entirely run by machines, and they all just yelled at their robot. all this technology just so they had more time to be ignorant and obnoxious. so i guess in that way they might be new money.
You can see that Yellow Submarine was a big influence on the musical sequences of late 60s/70s Hanna-Barbara cartoons like The Cattanooga Cats,The Chan Clan, and this.
This wasn't a Scooby clone. It was just a cross between the Partridge Family and the Jetsons....an updated Jetsons.
Joe Barbera pitched the updated version of the Jetsons to CBS, and they said, "Get rid of the Jetsons, add the Partridge Family, and we'll give you the 9:30 AM time slot". So Hanna-Barbera used almost all the ideas they had for the updated Jetsons and made Partridge Family 2200 AD.
IMO, this is in the top 5 Hanna-Barbera cartoons of the '70s. I love it! :)
i love this grew up with all the scooby doo era,the backdrops are from the jetsons , and the movements are josie and the pussy cats but i love it any way,its a gentle more fab time im glad i was brought up in it

See the old woman below in the crowd at 1:25 with the scarf around her head? I wonder if they're singing about her?

It would be reassuring to think that the young crowd in 2200 will have an appreciation for 70s flower-pop.

I don`t think too many under the age of 13 knew what a `Gypsy Girl` was.

The way they've got Lori dancing... bit too much for the average 11 year old boy watching.
Well... sure was for me, anyway.

In the heyday of Hanna-Barbera animation, this clip from "PARTRIDGE FAMILY
2200 AD" shows that limited animation was still pretty creative,as beautifuly done
in this music number. in 1974 when ABC-TV canceled "The PARTRIDGE FAMILY"
this animated version was aired by CBS in fall 1974,just behind The Hudson Bros.
weekend show. a pleasant memory!

Only Shriley Jones and David Cassidy did not do voice-overs for the show.

Mom and Laurie are pretty darn hot in this version! Tracy, however,is too young to be wearing those "space hot pants"...

The WORST of the "Scooby" clones too. It also rip off The Jetsons too.

LOL "Weird vulva animation!" Probably the funniest (and most accurate) description of these effects that I've ever heard. :-)
