This makes me want to pick-up my old bass guitars and learn some new stuff--It has been several years since I have even touched them. I have a Fender RED Jazzmaster and a Fender BLACK Musicmaster-- excellent instruments!!!! I am looking for a hollowbodied bass to play on that is about the same size of my Fenders. Hopefully if "Santa" is watching, His big old ass will hook me up with one for Christmas.

The loose fingers on my right hand (I'm a lefty), sort of drape over the strings in front of the note I'm playing dampening the sound.

Very groovy. Are you muting with your left hand or sticking foam under the bridge to get that muted tone?
