  • The only thing I would add to this video, is any wall of length. Say more than 25'.

    I would personally suggest using a transit or laser to check elevation. I don't care

    how good you are with a level you will be off. I actually use laser for front/back/sidetoside.

  • If the drainage pipe is installed at the lowest block, how and where do you discharge the water accumulated?

  • @javime99 99% of all engineered walls I've done was discharged every 50 ft.

    And you do so out the face of the block.

  • i love this video i love wall construction.

  • Very true - a deadblow hammer (which is a hard plastic hammer, essentially) works great for this application. Very careful use of a steel sledgehammer is okay, too, but there's an increased chance to break the block.

  • lol a deadblow might be a good investment instead that rubber mallet.

  • when i build with ab blocks i like to put a slight bit batter on my base course, for added security
