I don't know people's problem with Susan Boyle. She has a lovely voice and I just heard unchained melody and it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. Must say I prefer Ruthie Henshall's version of I dreamed a dream though. So much more emotional. I sounded like a drowning cat just now as I was attempting it.

i love this song. i agree with you that susan boyle is a good singer, but shes not amazing, people only think that shes amzing becuase when you see her you expect such a great voice form her. personaly i dont like her and its got nothing to do with how she looks, shes mad and can be cocky and full of herself, yes her voice is good but i dont like it all that much.

personally my favorite rendition is still by ruthie henshaw, the original singer of it in the London production :) she's amazing and the emotion is brilliant...you should totally check it out! :)

i don't think the higher notes are the problem in this song, but the very low notes are not that easy, this song takes a lot of practice anyway, not easy for everybody..^^

that's funny i just sing it on my style and it was pretty easy. i guess you were doing what susan boyle does. anyway the karaoke version is always easier. if you can't hit the note, don't force it, it might damage your vocal chords. try falsetto first when singing a song, until you get the hang of it. if you still can't do it. try doing some exercises. or maybe you're diaphragm is constricted when you're singing, try to get it relaxed.

Wow! I usually have to go an octave higher or lower as the case may be, but once I found I could hit the low notes, the higher part took care of itself. What key is this? (I'm not any kind of real singer, but I do like to amuse myself.) Thanks. What fun!
