I was at after school care club and saw that on the tv, didnt quite at first realise exactly the signifance of qwhat happened. I didnt realise it was actually a terrorst attack at first, because i was like 10-years old athe time so i wasnt quite as aware of terrorism as I am now, but man I can say nonetheless that it was a strange strange fucking day, and of course i did eventually realise that it was a terrorist attack on the world trade center, my teacher the next day was soooo upset, peace

i was in 2nd grade and i went down stairs and the news was on with the news lady and then my mom was sitting on the couch crying and i was like "did the cat die??"

It didn't really register with me that this was for real, it took about 5 channel changes for me to realise this wasn't an action movie, this was real life. I'll never forget it.

I remember being at home, just woken up, having break fast, turning the tv on, looking for some cartoons to watch lol....( I was 12 at the time) The first image i saw was of a plane striking a tower and i thought it was a random film they were showing on tv. I kept flicking through the channels and that was all they were showing....just the plane hitting and the smoking building.

I was in 5th grade. Our school didn't even turn the TV on. All the teachers ignored the event, and just continued on with the day like nothing ever happened. I guess thats the case, though, with private schools.

I remember I was in first grade, in my old catholic school. In the middle of class they told us very very very little. I think we had a long prayer service that day. Everyone was freaking out and we had no idea what was going on. Being so young, scared the shit out of me.

the strange thing is in my high school when it happened i was in geography but we used to have trailer things and I remember we were all arguing about what was the tallest building in the world said it was the empire state but someone pointed out it was the world trade centre and we were like yeah...it was towards the end of the day here so I got home and was like...this is terrifying only like 20mins ago was my class talking about this and then its destroyed. But it was just so shocking.

Thats so bad that they didnt let you guys watch that. I think that everyone in North America will remember forever where they were that day. I found out getting on the school bus, and then as soon as I got to math class we watch CNN, we would leave class and the TV's in the lobby of the school, every TV everywhere was on CNN and everyone was watching. And thats what we did watch history take place right before our eyes.

My homeroom teacher was crying. (Ended up her father died.) But my mom picked me up early because she was worried about more attacks.

I was in fourth grade when that happened. I'm in ninth now. The TVs in our classrooms were set to come on if anything important happened. We only got to watch it for a while before the teachers turned it off. Then we were all sent home. I know someone who was about to go there, but turned around because they had a bad feeling. Just as they left.. the planes hit.

Oh and I didn't even know what the twin towers were..so yeah i had no idea what was going on until i got home and watched the news with my family. Ive done numerous research papers and speechs on 9/11 and there are still so many conspiracies along with what happened.

I remember walking in to my high school from early morning practice and hearing someone saying the Pentagon was on fire. By the time I got to first period my teacher had the tv on CNN and I saw that both towers had been hit and we witnessed the towers collapse. Around 4th period, the teachers were ordered to turn off the televisions and get back to school work. I was so outraged, that immediately after 4th period was over, I gathered my stuff and went home, and watched CNN there

I had a similar experience. Was in Science, and the principal sent out a notice to all the teachers to keep their televisions off of that channel. I think one or two of the teachers kept theirs on for the majority of their class anyway, and that caused a little ruckus...but really, what are you going to do? Fire someone for having the news on?

Needless to say, they were still employed after that day.

I was in Math class when the first planes hit. It was crazy, btw our school has those trailer classrooms too. We didn't have a gold course but we had the trailers, like 4-6 of them. Then we went to Physics class and the teacher there was a super brilliant man, Mr Knorr. He didn't believe us at first but he turned the TV on but then later shut it off.

I remember that when the planes hit, I was over in.. I think it was either Brazil or Chile... But, the kids that where in 5th grade and under where not allowed to know about what happend. In which, I was in probably first grade at the time...(Yes, I am a kid)... So, everyone kept hearing the 6th graders and older talking about what had happend, so we where all a bit confused. I didn't know what happend until last year, in which I got laughed at for not knowing what happend.
