You, and many others, reply to franklinrocks1 by saying that we care about him because he has Aspergers. Somebody else said he is not normal. What's wrong with you guys? He shouldn't be known for the great surfer kid who's got Aspergers, but BECAUSE he is a great surfer. Why does the fact that he has got Aspergers make him so special? He is an amazing surfer because he loves surfing, not because of a developmental disorder. That's what makes him inspiring.

7universes should think before making such brash statements (I will assume 7universes is a woman just to make a point about making uneducated assumptions). She may not have meant anything negative, but my whole point is people with AS, like Marzo, who she claims to respect so much, get FREAKED OUT by people who act like that - aggressive, uninformed, wrong.

Asperger's is not that hard to deal with. What's hard to deal with are other people, especially those that assume Asperger's is no big deal (and make assumptions about the behavior). I have Asperger's. When people are "coming at me" (even if it's just talking when I don't want to talk) it's like having a swarm of really pissed off bees coming from out of belly and I become an unapologetic escapist.
