There was most likely strip map difficulties being that the 5 doesn't use R142A on any other occasion.

Actually, the 5 train does get about one set of R142As sometimes when there's no 5 trains between E 180th St and 149 St. - Grand Concourse(upper level). But that can be a possibility, though.
