  • cool video. very helpful.

  • nice background xD

  • Good morning yuri,

    Thanks for this posting.

Is there a plug in for the real 3D glasses (polarized type)?

Every time we viewers watch some 3D film (UP, Toy Story, Friday the 13th, Final Destination) the theater force you to buy additional glasses. I now have 7 glasses and my kids have more.

The real 3D people are robbing us @ $2.50 a pop!

    I didn't watch Avatar in 3D because of the Damn glasses. Ticket cost $7.50 X 5 = $37.5 / Glass cost $2.5 X 5 = $12.5 Total cost for one film $50!

  • @Sirrom0206 nope you can only use realD glasses in theaters- I am not sure of this is because of the screen or simply because of licensing issues.

  • @yuriythebest It's because of how the technology works. The Real D 3D glasses have two polarised lenses - one clockwise, one counter clockwise. The film is projected through a filter that alternatively polarises the left and right eye images as they pass through the projector - 3 frames of the left eye image, then 3 frames of the right eye image, running at a speed of what I can only guess must be about 120fps

  • @ThatGuyFromYouTueb hi! you are confusing passive polarized with active shutters. Shutterglasses like nvidia 3d vision or edimensional (google the images) do require fast, 120hz displays. However passive polarized do not since they don't alternate between left and right and indeed project them at the same time. My iz3d display is passive polarized and is 60hz and works perfectly :)

  • @Sirrom0206

polarized glasses work on displays having more than 125 hz refresh rate.

it will cost $3000 for a 46 incher.

  • yuri, I saw a poster say they couldn't understand your english, your english is just fine for me.

  • @lowellriggsiam thanks!

  • mi video was too 3d sorta, the images were very far apart, wat can i do

  • @Matty09Magic - did you just add yt3d tags to regular video?

  • ye yt3d:enable=true, it worked but too much, the images were extremely far apart i couldne even see any on the video!

    can you help?

  • @Matty09Magic please listen to the video more carefully - you can't take a regular 2d video and add yt3d tags it won't work and you'll get the result you got. you need a 3d camera.

  • who the hell is surposed to have that?

  • @Matty09Magic I have the minoru3d webcam that costs like 70$.

  • how can i get one in england?

  • @Matty09Magic go to the minoru3d website they are sold for 49 pounds

  • sorry

    but its horibble

i´m coming from germay and can understand very good, but this.... i understood nothing!

  • @mixmux01 sorry I don't speak german

  • i know

i don´t have required it! i just said your Dialekt is diffecult to understand!

  • ahh ok - I think it's a combination of my accent and the complex technical terms and also since I use complex words like "obfuscation"

  • okay thats enable^^

  • Another important point, and a mistake that you actually made, is to be aware of the distance of objects from the camera. When watching 3D videos, your eyes cannot see the 3D effect on objects that are offset too far between the right and left eyes. Like at 3:18 of this video, the 3D effect on the graphic you display is so exaggerated that it is not 3D at all.

Just thought I should bring this up since so many people make this mistake. Nice video btw :)

  • thank you for the great info

  • 1. you need white and red glasses or red and blue gllasses?

  • red/cyan glasses

  • doesnt work for my video, its fucked up then

  • Thanks for the video Yuri!

  • nice tutorial, I needed that.

  • dont understand u..

and u have to learn how to use a greenscreen -.-

  • I am so glad this feature is now available.

    Thanks for the info, yuriythebest.

  • this video needed to be made

these little kids are flooding youtube with false 3d videos and they call you stupid if you tell them it can't work that way

  • how do i accept the video response?

  • mm there should be an option in the message or something...

  • nah i think you probably ned to post it again. But thanks for being one of the decent people that actually respond back!

  • YOUR-iy the best! Around! Nothings gonna ever keep you down! Your'e the best! around! Whoo hoo hoo hoo.

  • It's up but... JUST CHECK THE VIDEO...

  • hi! can you send me a link in a message cause I can't quite find it

  • Sorry, I removed it becuase it has the different angles, but it was also frozen on one frame. So... The camera angles weren't far enough away, so it was still vertivly seperated... and it just didn't work... Sorry!

  • it's ok- make a great video and upload it when ready, take your time- I will still be here :)

  • It is coming along but I might finish it tomarrow, since I am hand animating it now, instead uf using a Wmv or whatever that I already have

  • Oh guess what, I am making a new 3d video with different "Camera angles" so that you can be happy that I made my video "Properly" Ok?

  • cool! sorry that I sounded a tad harsh earlier- glad you are making progress :)

  • YOU HAZ NO MENU AND FAIL

  • did you read the info at the start of the video? Youtube has a bug and you have to refresh the page for it to appear

  • Somebody had to say it. Thanks.
