Very difficult to choose a winner in this category. We have a brilliant Hugh Laurie who plays the sarcastic Dr.House (should have won in 2006,2007), Michael C Hall for Dexter (2008), Bryan Cranston deservly won in 2009 and 2010 The other actors (Matthew Fox, Kyle Chandler and and Jon Hamm) i dont think they deserve a winning because their caracthers are not so good as (House, Dexter and Walter White)
Hugh Laurie has deserved that Emmy every single year he's been nominated, but so have all the other nominees, and sadly as Edie Falco said, they couldn't all get one... This year especially, I think he definitely should have won, but he's not defined by the Emmys but by the amazing work that he did, so congratulations to Mr. Laurie for that!
And judging by his triple-win I'm sure Bryan Cranston is incredible as well. Plus it was really classy to acknowledge his fellow nominees :)
I cannot believe he didn't win again, especially after his amazing performance this season. The premiere alone should have guaranteed the win and sealed the deal. But I have to agree, with or without the Emmy, he's the best actor in television.
Hugh has been robbed 5 times from this award show. But I agree, Hugh doesn't need this award to be the best actor ever. I mean, he is the star of the #1 Drama in the country.
Btw, Hugh Laurie was sitting next to Kenneth from 30 Rock? Lol I find that amusing.
@mgstella totally agree with you. and I know that Hugh himself was indifferent to fuss around awards and ceremonies. because he is kind, intelligent, wise and insightful man. and knows the price of true love and sincerity.
