  • Does anyone know if these hybrid buses made by New Flyer had any problems with the battery or broke down on the road. In Toronto, they ordered Orion hybrid buses and they broke down because of the battery (but now they dont have that issue anymore)

  • @juliachan1987 They're actually quite reliable, they've never had a break-down. We've had one fire from a Novabus hybrid, using the same system as on the Hybrid New Flyer. But otherwise, nothing wrong with these buses.

  • @newflyer12 Do me and the rest of the world a favor, learn some proper grammar and punctuation. Doing chat-speak is fine on msn or when your talking to a friend, but to use it in every comment you make just gets annoying.

  • I have no idea, last i heard it was DE60LF's.

  • It will be DE60LFR's or they can possibly be Xcelsior articulateds.

  • Hey, the MTA Maryland Ones sound exactly the same as these from Vancouver's Translink.

  • SEPTA should get these Hybrid Artics.

  • cant wait the for boston mbta to get these

  • the mbta has 25 of these on order for this year cant wait for them to get here. this bus sounds pretty good

  • does the 43 always operate with the 60 footers?

  • Usually it does, but during the summer they switch to 40 footers.

  • I believe this is the new bus ive been riding when i take the No. 43 express on 41st. I really like this bus, I like the new material they have on the seats. The best part is that it gets me to school on time!

  • Yep, they run these buses on the 43, 99, 44, 135 and 145.

  • I wish they used to run on 98 B-line...

  • Well its just a dream, for many reasons. The 98 was a route run by Richmond buses. As is tradition in translink all new buses are run out of Burnaby. But one can dream...

  • What kind of batteries are used in this hybrid bus

  • Nice clean bus. Nashville has a few simular buses. Some of our buses announce the roads like yours.

  • Nice! Interesting sounding Ding just before the announcement goes off for Richards St.

  • Correction: They have Allison EP50.

  • Thanks for the correction.
