Humanity sickens me -.-, let us do what we want, stop censoring pointless stuff. People who are for censoring stuff need to lighten up. Yall are making it really hard to find what I want to watch without it being censored ><. ((Down With Censorship))
Censorship is an act of desperation, political expediency, sexual repression, and prudish behavior all rolled into one. No wonder so many right wing politicians are always for more of it. Censorship is fascist opression, and some people can call it a rose if they want, but it still stinks.
@jerico641 Is this why Obama loathes transparency, he's sexually repressed?
The phrase "right-wing politicians" is hyphenated. It would seem that the left-wing politicians failed to provide you with an effective educational opportunity.
My friends and I have seen the most disturbing shit you find on the internet. We are all college and university students with average to good grades. The people who committed the Virginia Tech massacre, Columbine massacre, that real Texas Chainsaw massacre, and Charles Manson, just to name a few, have NOT seen what I have seen.
The police chap is ill informed or lying. He basically implied that someone acting in the kind of videos they are banning are actually assaulted and killed! Were that the case, banning such material would be reasonable. However, this bans footage of consensual material and acting.
Thankyou for posting this, I remember watching this on SKY news last year and I still seethe at the ridiculous propaganda being espoused by the police and pro-censorship lot.
Everyone seemed to miss the essential truth though that apart from being staged and consensual its perfectly legal in most other european countries. Hardly seems logical to jail UK citizens for looking at the same.
This law seems to see-saw between violent porn and everyday action films depending on which MP is pushing it.
The sad fact is that films like Cannibal Ferox et al will come under the VPA as soon as it comes into effect and the 10 - 14 people they say will be prosecuted per year will go into the hundreds.
Indeed, there's actually a campaign group been set up against this called backlash, of which I am a supporter.
Whilst i have no love for this material, I do not agree that people should be prosecuted just for looking at it, particularly when its legal virtually everwhere else, so its the UK whos clearly out of step with the rest of the world here.
another thing that bothers me about this new law is that it's a victim less crime, not only that they say they're only going to prosecute 10 -14 per year. What is the point of this law.
When real "extreme pornography" is made, then there's already laws in place to prosicute the makers. Bringing in this "thought crime" is only going to make the Daily Mail readers sleep easier until they see something else that they can harp on about.

Censorship is useless.
