Homebox XS - how easy it is to set it up

dear guys from homebox company.

i want to grow 4 plants in scrog mode in a homebox xs.

you think with a 250w ndl its possible to reach the 100g (25g per plant )?

@Nr1Karim sure it´s possible and more. But you need to know that you have to do a lot of issues in the right way to reach your target. The experience you get by doing it and reading a good book.

i have a homebox xs with a 250watt hps cooltube with also 180 watts of LED side lighting, works very good, you can see all my grows with it on my channel

what they don't tell you is that after setting up the easy homebox, you have to set up all the shit that comes inside and that's a pain in the ass if you're alone. make sure you have someone to help, it can be very frustrating.

The HOMEbox XS is small. Mostly used for motherplants or clones. The size is 60cm x 60cm x 120cm or 23 1/2 x 23 1/2 x 47 1/4 inches.

I read on the homebox website that this particular size requires a 150 w lamp, but is it possible to put a 250 w lamp in there without "breaking"/melting it?

depending on oyur intake air temps as well as plant heights, you might want to consider a air cooling device for your lamp.

yes there are. also the straps needed to hand filter and fan are supplied. you can also watch the other videos from us, one show how to hang the light and filter in a homebox modular, which is very similar.

The measurements of the XS are 60x60, but I'd like to hide it in my closet and the door shuts at 57...

So do you think it would be possible to somehow "squash" it a little bit on one side, to make it fit in there, or somehow tweak it, or is it absolutely impossible?

not without cutting the poles. bu that is sure possible.

then you have to find a way to also tighten the cover again.

Well, assuming I would cut the poles on one side for about 2-3 cm, would it cause problems with the cover?

I mean if it's just for aesthetic reasons, I can live with it looking a bit saggy, as long as it doesn't effect the grow in some way...

the cover would be hanging lose, and would be drawn in by the negative pressure of the fan. you should be able to control that wuite easily with clamps to tighten the cover again on the outside corners.

Homebox XS is perfect for a 250W HPS grow. You can use 400W HPS but you will need a cool tube set up for the light.

i think it will be too much.

either a CFL (200W) or a 250 HPS with light cooling should be more than sufficient.

for a 400W, ideal is the HB L (100x100), you might also be able to use it in the HB S (80x80)

a 75W HPS might even give sufficient light. Or a CFL with 100-200W. Ventilation might take another 30W or so. DO your math yourself to see what raise in electricity usage you will encuonter.

yes, it sure is ok for 2 plants. always depends of the kind and size of the plants. ;) if you have small cacti in it, you might fit over 100 in it. if you have peppers or tomatoes, 1-4 will be the most likely number.
