  • Say that again

  • Well, no matter what gender, marriage is becoming a thing of the past. Everyone seems to be living together. Those who are married are either very happy, or miserable and staying together for the convenience of it.

  • frontier33,

I don't believe marriage is a thing of the past.

As long there is LOVE in the world, there will always be marriage.

Also, some divorced kids do not want to be married.

they don't want to go through the same thing as their divorce parents.

  • Well, it sometimes seems as if marriage is becoming a thing of the past. I have noticed, however, that there seems to be a revival of marriage happening, when for years people were downright terrified of the committment, only to get hurt in the end (this happened to me).

  • Also, your statement about kids not wishing to marry due to their divorced parents...you are right about that. That was another factor in my decision after my divorce to never marry again. If it were not for my now husband's mother (who has since passed away), Ron and I may never have married. We were best of friends that bloomed into love (smiles)!

  • I thought Ron and you have been a married couple since forever.

it seems that way to me.

you know each other's ins and outs quite well.

u2 are a good well oil machine.

  • Hahahaha! Well, we were married in 1981. We waited five years into our marriage to have a child together (she is now almost 22). My first husband passed away shortly after we left California for Idaho (heavily into drugs). Ron will be 65 in September, I will be 54 the day after his birthday...LOL!

  • another thing thou.

weddings are too damn expensive for many people.

money is a huge factor of not getting married.

they want to settle down and have kids out of wedlock.

    those bastards!

    LOL

  • Sadly, this is so very true!

  • i disagree. just because one chooses not to marry doesn't mean we're all gonna follow suit. seeing as whoever i fall in love with is whoever i fall in love with, i should have the choice to marry that person regardless of their gender. sorry if my pov on this pisses you off.

  • I won't commit to a lifetime of pain and suffering.

    I had enough of it.

I may not wait around for him either.

He need to prove himself to everyone that he have change for the better.

Other than that, I stood by what I said.

  • thank god, you are obviously gay, so you should not have a ring on ur finger.

  • AlphaOrionis1,

I would rather be single for the time being.

Right now, it does not feel right.
