Very good! What are you pedal settings? If I had a small suggestion it would be to work on your string bends as a couple of times they were a little flat. Other than excellent!
Could you please share with us what's your pedal sets, what pedals are you using, effects, and presets? it's a perfect work, congratulations my brother.
that was fuckin awesome m8 how did you get those effects including the bit where you sort of nicked bit with the boy with his bear ha if you could tell me thanks
Brilliant performance. Congrats and kudos to you. Keep playing, with the right management, you're sure to have a great future in music. And, it's incredibly heartening to see a young'un with a taste for Pink Floyd in this day and age.
Thanks for your comments. This video is very old :-) I know that the tone is basic on this ordinary squier. I've recorded this more than one year ago :-) Now I am using totally different equipment. Different amp, new guitar, stomp boxes...better recording devices. Presently I am working on a new records (On the turning away, Shine on, On an island covers and many others :-). So please be patient and look for my covers in the future.
Absolutely awesome video arrangement. The most creative YouTube music video I've seen!. Also excellent tone, and guitar playing. You Rock! 5 stars. Would you mind sharing what equipement are you playing?
Very good job. You played it as well as David Gilmour. These solos seem pretty easy, especially because of its slow speed, but there are extremelly difficult to accomplish properly, because of delicacy of the bends, the timing and sustatin of the vibratos and most of all, the feeling you must to put into it. You nailed it in all of these aspects. Congrants. By the way, good job on video editing. For a different version, check mine. Cheers
Dude I am so blown away! Your the first person I've seen to huge YouTube to make a sort of performance with lights and visuals! I wish I could rate this 6 stars.
Gilmour uses EMG's live because they play so loud the single coils of a strap make A LOT of noise. The EMG's are quieter. He uses strats with passive single coils all the time.Look at his black strat he has had for years.
Equipment is not most important. If you know how to use it you can get whatever you want. As everyone see I've got similar sound to Pulse on Squier with ordinary pickups. This video was recorded one year ago. I have bought EMG's after recording this solo.
equipment is still important. if your trying to get that throaty scream that les paul style guitars are famous for, and all you have is a strat and a fender jazz amp, your fucked.
basically, you cant get every sound in the world on one guitar, even if you have every amp in the world, and you cant get every sound on one amp, even if you have every guitar in the world. you need equipment that is made for the sound you want/need. so equipment is right up there with personal skill as a very important part of playing guitar
Well, not entirely true. There is a cool little thing called Guitar Rig 3 and basically you can get just about every sound you can imagine from it... "and in the latest edition, Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. Gibson's website provides tutorials on achieving these iconic sounds with the "premiere software package on the market" This is pretty much a true statement as I can get any sound I want with one guitar and one amp.
I don't understand that comment too, dont worry. This man thinks that Gilmour uses a LP when in fact the guitar he has always used is the fender stratocaster (the black strat or the red one with the emg pickups). So basically, forget that comment.
That sound as someone already said is great for a squier. And you play simply Brilliantly. Flawless.
WHere are the videos from the guys talking shit and passing judgement??You think Gilmours tone and style is so easy you can give pointers, show us?Keep on jamming dude.Sounds great.
This is pretty good. Might I recommend you give your tone a little boost on the second solo. Then again, you can play however you want, it sounds great, but to capture the emotion of Shine On, I think the first solo should be clean, a little bite to the second solo, and all out madness on the third solo. Check out some bootlegs from the '77 tour, its badass. Rock on.
Oh, and also, take your hand off the fucking tremolo arm, dude. It really bothers me. It's all in the fingers, Shine On. Just watch Gilmour. And also your bends are too slow. I hope you can take some constructive criticism.
great job bro. sounds fucking awesome. I don't know how old you are kid, but you sound like you've been playing gilmour for a long time (like myself and many others). what gear are you using besides the strat?
What an amazing video post. It looked great, exellent video work. What program do you use to do the video editing on? Or are you at college studying photography? Your guitar technique is very impressive and a great sound. well done great video, and good luck and please make some more
this is the most amazing cover i have ever seen. I'm relatively new to guitar (a few months and counting). But this is definitely the top of my list of goals. Can someone give me an over all difficulty from 1-10 scale?
Cudownie, pieknie, niesamowite, genialne, po prostu super extra wow!!!!!!!! Chlopie, az zaklaskalem automatycznie... I to jest tylko Squier! Ludzie, to Squier a On to zagral jak na prawdziwym amerykancu! Jestem pod wrazeniem. No doslownie jak oryginal. Masz u mnie duzego plusa. Nie wybacze jak nie napiszesz co masz w swoim lancuchu efektow. Jak mozesz napisz mi na priva jakie masz ustawienia. BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!!!! I jeszcze raz BRAVO!
Wow that was one of the coolest covers I've ever seen and heard! It's definitely the best i've seen on youtube. Your tone was just like Gilmour's and your playing was spot on as well. And you even added the effects from the actual pulse concert. Very, very awesome, and that's coming from a guy who rarely comments on youtube covers. Let's see some more if you get the chance.

It is nice to see you are a young man and you love this music.
To play Pink Floyd's music is an big challenge. And you are so young.
I am an other fan but i am 44 old. I play too the Pink Floyds music.
I like your intro backing track part. I have a question. Can you tell me what synthesizer do you use? I think these are VST instruments. Or not?

The actual playing isnt difficult, its getting the feel and tone thats the hard part, as a beginner it may take time so id probably rate it like this.
Playing : 5/10
Feeling/Tone : 9/10
The only other thing thats very difficult to master is the timing, ive been playing for 5 years and i still cant get that!!
