I think the overall concept of completely redoing Joomla's backend system is much overdo. I really like the direction you have taken with this project and would love to get involved more.
I think the inner shadows and gradients were used perfectly.
However, I do think the layout system could be worked on a bit. I also have not played with it yet so don't really have a feel yet, which doesn't let me get the full perspective.
It that a admin template? As out of the box Joomla 1.6 admin does not look anything like that??? but that looks great exactly what I have been looking for!
