Good for you! I will give you some advice.....people ALWAYS say they are going to buy things, sometimes even requesting custom pieces and NEVER buy them. It happens a lot. I don't buy too much backstock because of this. I hope it goes good for ya! =)

yes i'll make a Dollypop Update video addressing concerns like committing to buy and everything. i'll strictly enforce it in my shop policy and make sure i don't get ripped off. i'll probably only keep 1 or 2 pieces backstock for each item anyway, and make new ones as needed. i don't want to lose money! thanks for the wonderful tips, Jo darling!

I would say def go for it! However, try to keep the prices as cheap/competitive as possible, as there are already nes controllers, mushroom, cupcakes, sushi, lightning bolt, etc jewlery on etsy

yes i've seen them, and a lot of them are resin or plastic and not necessarily clay so they are a bit more expensive, i think. anyway, i'm not looking to rip you guys off! i'll definitely price competitively. i'm a college kid, after all - so i know inexpensive! =P

thanks honey! i've thought about bracelets, but those might get pricey because there are so many little pendants. that's why i figured a necklace would be easy to price, and earrings are just two little versions of a necklace, so that's easy too. i also don't know how much a charm bracelet base would cost. if i go shopping for supplies, i'll look into it!

I would be very interested, especially if the prices are good. Most who make the clay things way over charge. I understand the price that goes into it, I do the clay thing myself (not for sale, just for fun) so I know the cost & $15 for a tiny cupcake necklace is ridiculous (I've seen them for that price in the loli community on live journal). I would love to see the sushi. A whole sushi set including a rice bowl would be really easy, I made one using the Cracker Barrel toothpicks as chopsticks.

That is what I said when I saw them. lol Yeah, I had done a cute little thing with a sushi board with sushi and a blob of wasabi on it as a broach, a little rice bowl necklace and onigiri earrings. It was adorable until my dogs ate them lol. I have a ton of ideas for little clay things like that, but I don't want to get into making and selling them right now, I am working on making make up at the moment.
