Wow! I'm SO glad I immigrated to Canada and grateful to finally be living here! (Emigrated from USA, applied back in 2007) I'm beginning to learn about many wonderful people from Canada's past and present who have made Canada the outstanding country that it is today. Now I'm a Tommy Douglas fan, too!

Excellent video tribute to the only greatest Canadian but the greatest citizen this planet has ever produced! His tireless campaigning for the common man could never be matched by any politician even if they served from age 18 until their death. His fight for "basic human decency" will echo through the decades but only if we keep his message going and there are those who continue to discredit his movement every chance they get. We cannot allow them to try away his legacy!

You're right...the US does need your version of Tommy Douglas. I am Canadian and reap the benefits of Universal health-care that Tommy fought his whole life for.
