Catherine1853 You have to read the novel, you won't regret. I did it when I was 14 years old and it was easy. If you need to make a good essay, you tube coments won't help.
@jasminnelson Really? How so? Tomorrow, I have to write an essay in class, answering this question, 'How do the struggles in our life, shape our values?' I have to relate what I say, to the novel. Plus I need a good thesis statement. What are the basics that are essential to know?
Brilliant film! You know, it seems since the fail of the counter culture that the "powers that be" have really worked hard on manufacturing and fabricating this shit we are fed these days. People are so mind washed these days, they just can't snap out of it... However, there is hope... soon...
@colacoca355 hello, don't you know (or anybody) if this movie is alot like the book? i write a seminar paper about this and i read the book as well but it was long time ago
New World Order is one of transhumanism, micro chipped compliant borg race, of androgenous sexless robots. those who question their govt and military (police ) will be eliminated, those who do not unite will be forced to for the good of mother earth.. There will be no such thing as individualism, thinking for yourself or living alone... Compliant and Silent will be the order of the day in the very near future...
I am currently reading the novel, I am almost near the end however, I am inclined to state that I can very well qualify to be an Alpha-Plus Male. I am above average in height and intelligence.
Keep telling yourself that, and rationalizing it. Cause your opinion won't fuckin matter in 100 years when you're gone, and your bullshit ideas dont live on.
Keep pretending like you know the future. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Like I said, when you're dead, you'll be part of the 99.99% gone with time, and none of your ideas will matter. So enjoy trying to rationalize and justify them while you can.
And nice choice of words my friend, shows me your true colors.
I just finished this book today, loved it -- though the ending made me sad. I don't think I'll be able to watch more than a couple minutes of this though....scanning through the comments I wonder how some of you even understood the story.
@Globalsedition The novel was perfectly comprehendible gent.... Brill if I dare state, most of the views illustrated by Aldous Huxley were profoundly notorious such as passion for example. I am currently in process of nearly completing the novel considering it was referred to me by a retired English teacher who taught Philosophy in University..... The things we discussed were outright fascinating!
@TheLordBatman I love how it perpetuates the constant struggle of freedom and security. In my opinion, this is its greatest message....I for one am a libertarian, and to this end greatly agree with John's views in the story.
@Globalsedition I preferred Bernards...... I felt I could relate to him somehow... notice he didn't feel all that connected to society due to his inferiority complex. I am a Libertarian as well, however, I am a lover of knowledge and so found Bernard the most fascinating character of them all.
I pictured Huxley's Futuristic London to look something like Scott's futuristic LA in Blade Runner. That is one badass cityscape. The helicopters could be replaced by the hovering cars too.
In all the movies nowadays soma is being asked for by all of humanity. The perfect drug to all cures. And sex is the all drugs you. The same things happen, a change in brain patterns. This will be asked for and delivered, the only thing I ask is that does there half to be a war?
hummmm wow for once the comment im bout to post is directed for the people who like it and not dislike..................
anyone who liked this video and movie DID NOT READ brave new world written by aldous huxley, YOUR MIND PAINTS THIS PICTURE. you dont need the FUCKING TV to show it for you, especially when its bullshit like this! read the book, ban this stupid movie. and read the book you screen whatching slobs. and figure it out yourself and not have it SPOON FEED TO YOU like THIS SHIT!!!!!
Haven't seen this film yet, but from what I see it's pretty bad, I've read the book....really mind-blowing. I wish they can remake films based on brilliant novels like Brave New World and 1984. It's going to be epic!! Best adopted-script ever!!!
The music is the worst aspect of this movie; that's why I think everyone hates it so much. Perhaps with a better soundtrack, the movie would have been better recepted.
But then again, I've only seen the first part, so...
the movie is horrible but I think it was done in purpose because the book speaks about america and how it is becoming a dictatorship. Hollywood to the rescue of the american dictatorship produced a misleading movie for the book that shed a light on this growing dictatorship,
The movie is so inaccurate when Fanny and Lenina are talking in the book Lenina was "having" Henry Foster not Bernard Marx and she does not have him until the trip in which they visit Malpais..
Chrismorales93 or there really is a GOD and by his grace he saves a remanent of people, and he calls them his own children. The book and film prove exactly what God said is gonna happen and is happening.
I was 13 when I read this book, I realised that Aldous Huxley's predictions were already happening. I couldn't believe that he intended for his predictions to happen in about 600 years, but they were happening in about 60 years. This made me think of how excitng and daunting, I think it is of what we will soon discover and how society will change.
Does anyone know if there was an older version of this film as I have heard this is a remake?
If there is, hopefully it will be true to the books.
oh god......and to think i was gonna use the movie to help me understand the book better.................. what is this 2 hour piece of trash? soooo messed up,well, there goes my carefully planned out plan.......
Another fact, I found some flaws that are inconsistent with the book. First off at the meeting room, there is a black man there. All black people were Epdilons or Deltas. This was because during 1930's London, racism towards blacks wes rampid. ANother inconsistency was with Lenina. She was suppose to be "wonderfully pneumatic", which the character in the movie wasn't.
I also fell that whether a person watched the movie or not, people will think the movie sucked just for the simple fact that the actors are basically acting like robots. For those who read the book, remember, thats how the people are suppose to act. "Stability over happiness" Don't let the movie disuade you from the book though. The book is truly a dystopia classic
The book is always better. Aldous Huxley is basically a prophet from the 1930's that predicted our world today. From the ideas of pro-abortion, genetic enginnering, and giving into your "pleasant vices", it was a blue print of our world today. If yo usaw this movie, than read the book...It's alot better
@chrismorales93 Agreed accept for his foreboding of a more secular society. Here in America, many still cling to religion as a means of happiness and comfort.
@EnthalpyH In chapter 17 that's revealed. Huxley says people give into religion in two ways. 1) "People believe in God because they've been conditioned to believe in God." 2) A man grow old; he feels in himself that radical sense of weakness, of listlessness, of discomfort which accompanies the advance of age'...Yes, we inevitably turn to God; for this religious sentiment is of its nature so pure, so delightful to the soul that experiences it, that it makes up to us for all our other losses."
Read the last chapter of the book. You're all conformists "Ya the movie sucks," funny but you wouldn't understand the book because everyone of you say the exact same thing. R.I.P. John Savage
And in case my previous comment didnt get my point across:
WORST. MOVIE. IN THE HISTORY. OF MANKIND. I'm pretty sure it was created by drunken monkeys on crack. Or soma. Whatever the case may be, Huxley is probably turning in his grave over this. I hope he haunts whoever was responsible for this crap.
@silverwindghost .... Was the main point of this book a prediction, a warning or to prepare us? Interesting paradox. Is this the preferred future by group of a predetermined rulers or will auto-determination among mankind, nations and humanity discourage this? I've read where baby DNA is being used in some sort of database at birth...but thats highly doubtful. Is this Eugenics? Why should we even care if Huxley is turning in his grave. I think MLK and JFK are turning in their graves.
@silverwindghost No, this is a movie version of what illuminati will create in the future. If you are so ignorant that you dont know what the '' New world order '' and the '' illuminati '' is, please dont write any retarded comments like this, and you can argue back to me and call me whatever you want, i dont simply care, too bad for you, then you can not show how cool and '' manly '' you are.
@giflar2 So many blindingly mature comments in response to my statement, including its deletion. I am touched, really. It just proves what has already been said, this is a movie for Epsilons.
@giflar2 I know quite well what the Illuminati and NWO are, thank you dear, in addition to FEMA and all the other aspects which it entails. I'm not here to argue about the politics of the movie anyway---if they want to make a movie warning people about these threats, then by all bloody means they should, it's certainly an issue.
@giflar2 However, they do not need to descicrate and destroy a classic piece of literature and its characters to do so. Start from scratch, create something new, but not this. As for you, I have not even spoken to you personally, so I have no idea what would give you the idea that I would insult you to begin with. If anything, you are being interminably rude to me.
@silverwindghost you need to do some research on who Aldous Huxley is and what his brother motives were, there's more to this movie than you think. Ignorance shouldn't be a choice.
How much difference is it between the book and the movie? I need to write an essay about the themes of BNW and I really don't have the time to read it. I don't care if the novel is sooo much better than the movie, I only need to know if this movie gives the same message and plot as the book does?
@LeeJessLee Oh God.Do NOT try to write an essay based off this movie, it won't work. NOTHING is right about this movie, except the names of the characters. Half the storyline is completely backwards, several of the key characters are missing, other characters who didn't even exist in the book in it for no reason, and the ones who did survive are NOTHING like Huxley's versions. The Reservation is modernized and portrayed all wrong, Bernard is COMPLETELY backwards and so is Lenina. Everyone is.
Just finished the book... hesitant if I should waste my time even watching the film. Anyways, Huxley hit the nail right on the head. Highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it and is interested how different societies and governments function through technology, propaganda, etc. Also check out "Brave New World Revisited" which is basically he analysis of the relevance to his book a couple decades after he wrote it post WWII. Talks about overpopulation, resources, propaganda, etc.
@SystemResistor That is, when it technologically created world guides the path of its evolution, the problem is, is that machines don't grow, and machines fail, and eventually, when the machines fail to give life, those that relied upon them face thier eventual death. A perfect utopia, and then after time, degeneration of the genes, like a tape that has been recorded over too many times.
@SystemResistor out of all people and comments on youtube, I run into you while randomly scanning a random movie. hilarious but I assume not a coincidence. I don't even know how I ended up watching this movie in the first place or why I started reading the comments, but alas you bring more knowledge to my attention. ha
I agree this is so 90s LOL. Oh well at least they still have weekends in the new world. Yeah the final comversation here is eerily representative of today's world.
Hey ,,, Maybe this New World Order is not such a bad idea . It can be a Brave New World .

@silverwindghost did u watch the whole thing or just this part?

It just proves what has already been said, this is a movie for Epsilons.
silverwindghost 6 months ago
@giflar2 I know quite well what the Illuminati and NWO are, thank you dear, in addition to FEMA and all the other aspects which it entails. I'm not here to argue about the politics of the movie anyway---if they want to make a movie warning people about these threats, then by all bloody means they should, it's certainly an issue.
silverwindghost 6 months ago
@giflar2 However, they do not need to descicrate and destroy a classic piece of literature and its characters to do so. Start from scratch, create something new, but not this. As for you, I have not even spoken to you personally, so I have no idea what would give you the idea that I would insult you to begin with. If anything, you are being interminably rude to me.
silverwindghost 6 months ago
@giflar2 PS: I am a self-proclaimed nerd and also a female. So both the claims you say I am allegedly trying to make are false by default. Thanks.

i forgot to say that this is how it is today aswell, it mirors both the future agenda and how things are today

@silverwindghost The movie is probably made for the people who already live in the same portrayed world. Looks clinical and soulless enough for it.

@silverwindghost you need to do some research on who Aldous Huxley is and what his brother motives were, there's more to this movie than you think. Ignorance shouldn't be a choice.

@eve21love ignorance is not a choice, it's part of being human.

How much difference is it between the book and the movie? I need to write an essay about the themes of BNW and I really don't have the time to read it. I don't care if the novel is sooo much better than the movie, I only need to know if this movie gives the same message and plot as the book does?
LeeJessLee 10 months ago
@LeeJessLee Oh God.Do NOT try to write an essay based off this movie, it won't work. NOTHING is right about this movie, except the names of the characters. Half the storyline is completely backwards, several of the key characters are missing, other characters who didn't even exist in the book in it for no reason, and the ones who did survive are NOTHING like Huxley's versions. The Reservation is modernized and portrayed all wrong, Bernard is COMPLETELY backwards and so is Lenina. Everyone is.

@silverwindghost
Haha, nah I skipped the movie and pulled it together anyway. Thank you for your reply :)

@silverwindghost Yeah...but in the book can you see bra-titties? NO! I didn't think so! Case closed, yer honer!

Yes, the beginning of a species de-evolution after it fails the test of self-awareness.
SystemResistor 1 year ago
@SystemResistor That is, when it technologically created world guides the path of its evolution, the problem is, is that machines don't grow, and machines fail, and eventually, when the machines fail to give life, those that relied upon them face thier eventual death. A perfect utopia, and then after time, degeneration of the genes, like a tape that has been recorded over too many times.
SystemResistor 1 year ago
@SystemResistor out of all people and comments on youtube, I run into you while randomly scanning a random movie. hilarious but I assume not a coincidence. I don't even know how I ended up watching this movie in the first place or why I started reading the comments, but alas you bring more knowledge to my attention. ha
