I remeber the first time I tried an AA meeting and I saw nothing but another fuckin' church and it's "messiah" Bill trying to make you give away what little power you do hAVE LEFT AFTER CORRUPTING YOUR MIND FOR SO LONG. oops caps... I told 'em "I need that power to help me through this" anyway, I'm an atheist and it's just plain silly.
@JstNEarthling My first exposure to that religion was when I was 14. My school found out I was taking 15-20 Vicodin a day and drinking whiskey on the bus to school, at school, on the bus home, then finishing myself off with another tall glass and a few beers (and some more pills) when I got home. The guidance counselor called an ambulance, and the ER psychiatrist committed me. The psych hospital made us attend nightly meetings. They told me I was going to die if I wouldn't join them.
@rationalwarrior Thanks. I realized after watching a show with a duo named "Penn and Teller" about AA and NA, and realized I had never written about the phenomenon of the 12-step cult. Needless to say I was kept up all night by a song that wrote itself. Thanks for watching!
