I simply don't believe that is the only reason he's backing away from the UFC. Reports said he was all but confirmed and that a MAJOR contributor to the lack of his signature was Fedor's dipshit manager, Vadim Finklestein. That being said, I think some of the concern lies around the likely fall of "the legend".

heres a few reasons:

1. money. fedor gets paid much more in DREAM than what dana white offered

2. in DREAM he is allowed to compete in his national sport sambo as well as other sports

3. fedor has said many times that he loves japan and its people. he wasnt interested in spending too much time in USA compared to japan (but no offense towards the americans of course)
