No. However, another Concorde had a close call on another day when landing on 32 very late and was still braking going into the loop at the 14 end. It did manage to stay on the concrete though. Just.

I flew supersonic on Concord from LBA in the mid 90s. What you do not see or feel is the outstanding accelaration she had. Take off speed was 210mph on that short runway. Also the landing, if I had not worn a seatbelt I would have come out of my seat. It makes me sad that there will never be another concord.

was a wonderfull airplane and i'm very fortunate to have flown her 3 different times, out of JFK, and IAD, as well as a charter to DTW from LHR in 1985, was amazing flight as we did a fly past here in Detroit..

I worked nights cleaning at an airport in the mid 80s and once the Concorde landed to land to take on fuel or something like that. A bunch of us went out to watch her take off again. It was an impressive sight. A golden memory.
