@OwenDWF I narrated this. I've done stuff for other YouTubers (Jivio and Railraider1) and have also lent my voice to several SiF productions over the years.
@7Lightening Fred didn't arrive until 1989. This little incident took place some time between 1982 and 1984, whilst Sir Handel was away visiting the Talyllyn. The original story had his lines delivered by an ERS character, Edwin Richard, but as he hasn't been modelled for Trainz yet, Sir Handel remains in this version.
@13thomasfan Even more glaringly, if this were completely faithful to the RWS, the Narrow Gauge engines would have different paintjobs (mostly red). To be honest, I tend to think of this adaptation as a mix of the RWS, ERS and TV Series universes.
@ShuntingTank043 Well actually I think he's just simply having Boco travel backwards for the purposes of realism; after all in real life Diesels with two cabs don't need to turn round so Boco wouldn't either since the driver just simply needs to get in his other cab and control him from there :)
@thomastug Well why not? He has two cabs which means he can travel backwards and forwards with ease. No point in two cabs if he has to be turned round all the time.
@Nictrain123 Lusitania is Titanic's rival, if they're from different companies, Titanic from White Star, Lusitania from Cunard, it's two different companies, they're not sisters.
@Lightninging63 No that was Rheneas at 5:33 making a cameo :) TheKipperRunsAgain was basically showing the area before Autumn effected it; sorta like a bit of a flashback, to reflect how much it has changed. Then in present day at 5:44 Duncan comes up with the works train as you can see.
@TheKipperRunsAgain Yes it's always nice to have scenes that make the audience think about what's going on because sometimes there's more to a scene than meets the eye :)
Another winning Trainz video here, chap - lots of lovely scenes and good to get the word out for the ERS too. Of course, it's never uncommon to see a difference between written word and the "televised" version whatever the book or series - though at least you're still faithful to your own text ;)
Interesting job on this adaptation of an ERS story. Also nice cameo of another ERS character in the background. 9.5/10 Best of luck with the next project.
Hahah I love the read on the last line. This whole thing was exception I don't know how I missed it. Brilliantly done!

This one's amazing!!! Could you please try book 42 in the RWS?

There's just one thing that confused me. Duncan says to himself 'We need another diesel" - what happened to Fred?

That was brilliant, a great adaptation story and I loved the joke you made at the end about 'Duncan getting his own branch line'.
Who were the 2 black engines at 3:52 & 4:08?

@thomastug In the Railway series, diesels have faces at both ends, and that is what he was tinkering with.

Ooh, a Four Stacker ship cameo. I think it's Lusitania, though it's quite impossible. :D
crazyracer12 6 months ago
@crazyracer12 No it is Mauretania her almost identical sister ship.

@Nictrain123 Ah okay, but Titanic is not Mauretania's sister ship, more like her rival.

@crazyracer12 I didn't say that Titanic was the Mauretania's sister ship. I said the Lusitania was.

@ 5:33 Is it just me, or has Duncan become Rheneas? Just through the trees he looks rather red to me.
Story was witty and rather fun.. great work!

@Damocles178 Spot on. I'm glad you could see what I was trying to do with that scene :)
That's generally what took up the most time when making this video. Redressing certain parts of the Skarloey Railway route to look more Autumn-like.
