I have to admit the ND song sounds very similar to the OSU song. The ND offense was sorry yesterday. They stars on that offense that should have led that team looked terrible. Seems like ND gave Michigan their best punch then all down hill after that. No excuse for them not to have a shot at winning that game yesterday. Christ looks to be regressing. Keys to r win would be Ball control (time of possesion), Being able to RUN the ball, and the Turnover battle. I so hope to get ahead early and comfortably. Honestly the stadium built to copy the big house but in a scaled down version should be known as the "little house" - aka ND stadium. The fact is that ND has almost no run game and passed well against the worst pass defense of all 119 Div 1A teams. So good job I guess? Your defense shut out a good offense - but so did ours (at least our 1st string). WMU didn't score until the 2nd and 3rd string CB's were in. And WMU had the #11 ranked total offense last year.

Actually no, Nevada had one of the worst defenses of all 119 teams last year - while WMU's wasn't spectacular it was definitely within, at least, the top 100. WMU has a QB that most are predicting to be one of the first 5 picked in the NFL draft. Nevada put up those rushing numbers in the WAC or MWC or whatever terrible conference they are in.
Well first off, WMU was 9-4 and Nevada was 7-6. Secondly I never said Nevada didn't have a good offense but anyone claiming that Nevada was far better than WMU is just uniformed. Sure Nevada was 5 spots higher in offense but defensively Nevada was one of the worst teams last year. Not to mention that WMU beat Illinois last year - they didn't "almost beat" them...they beat them, and Iowa the year before.

None of the formations he was in were wildcat. He was 2/4 on passing and would have been 3/4 if it weren't for a drop on a bubble screen. I'd say he's doing just fine. Just because they didn't use him to pass a lot doesn't mean he can't.
But there's a reason they didn't use him to pass, and used Forcier instead. Given Robinson's clearly insane athletic ability, you think Rod would bother with Tate if Robinson could throw very well? Maybe he can and RRod was trying to hide it from ND, but as of right now I am not convinced he can hurt us throwing the ball. Which, in my opinion, makes him of little more use than in running a Wildcat. I understand it wasn't a Wildcat formation, but it was USED like one, for the most part.
They used him less to pass because Forcier is a better passer and knows the offense better because Forcier came early. That still doesn't mean that Robinson can't pass - in fact the coaches say he passes better than the junior pat white did. In practice, and while I know it is just practice, Robinson had just as many 40 yard bombs as he had 40 yard runs.

Our defense played extremly well against Nevada, who has primarily a run oriented style offense. Michigan has a similiar offense with the spread. We are going to be blitzing Michigan like crazy, I can already see it. Putting a lot of pressure on those two freshman quarterbacks. This is going to be up to our defense in my opinion. they need to play hard, fast, and big. Clausen is going to have to be on his A game through the air as well. We need to connect in this one. I say 27-21 Notre Dame wins
also wanted to add..i think the irish is set up in a pro set(correct me if i am wrong) and jimmy looks very comfortable in that set..even though the runningback isnt going to see much of a 100 yard day all the time, at least yet, the air game is clausens strong suit..i think that his WR's down field could open up the door for long runs against the D if pro screens are used to throw the D off..but if charlie plans to stick it in the middle, that wont fly.i think to the outside is best(with allen)
i look at the game between notre dame and nevada to be a start..and hopefully, nevada is better then the way they looked..and hopefully our defense was just that good..michigan is next, and it will be in there house..so crowd will be a factor..i feel that running will not be a strong point against the M of U D..but charlie will run it at times..so i dont feel this will be a high scoring game..24 to 10,notre dame wins..thats my prediction

Big Sean, I hope your right. Michigan is a premier program and we are playing at their "Big House" we have to respect that. Both their QB's looked fairly good and were able to move the ball. Keys to r win would be Ball control (time of possesion), Being able to RUN the ball, and the Turnover battle. I so hope to get ahead early and comfortably. This is a big game for both programs- Playing mistake free is huge for us. I will take a win of any score-UM will be tough. Always ND!!!!

Only because Jimmy played in the big house ONE time ever and he was only an in experienced freshman quarterback who was thrown into the big stage while injured. So good job on holding him to zero TD passes in 07. This is a much more improved, and experienced Notre Dame team who is fully capeable of going on the road and winning. Playing in the "Little House" doesn't seem to scare me at all. Packing in all your fans won't do much to help you either. Notre Dame fans could care less about that

Honestly the stadium built to copy the big house but in a scaled down version should be known as the "little house" - aka ND stadium. The fact is that ND has almost no run game and passed well against the worst pass defense of all 119 Div 1A teams. So good job I guess? Your defense shut out a good offense - but so did ours (at least our 1st string). WMU didn't score until the 2nd and 3rd string CB's were in. And WMU had the #11 ranked total offense last year.

Not many - you guys should beat us....our team has 80/120 players that are soph or fresh status. I never said ND wouldn't only that a preview is pointless if you don't know simple things, like the QB, on the other team. That being said ND is so one dimensional with no running game that if we can shut down the pass you guys are hosed.

If we can't run the ball, it won't be b/c Aldridge is hurt.
And why can't BigSean make predictions if he wants to? It's not like Robinson threw 3 tds like Tate did, he RAN for one, and that was his main highlight of the day. If you don't follow UM, it's a logical conclusion to make. Get off his back.

Stop being so nitpicky. The point is that he can make a video if he wants as long as he knows enough about HIS team. He wasn't making a video from the UM point of view, so let it go. Besides, if Denard is so good, isn't it better if it comes out of the blue to an Irish fan?

But if he does that he should at least get the facts correct about my team or else the whole video is stupid and pointless - which I am going to call him out on. Actually, if he watched it on ESPN, they didn't really say he was a QB (at least, not during the halftime shows). They only said that Denard Robinson ran for the TD.
Regardless, just shut up already. He knows now, he'll know forever, and it's a fairly minor mistake unless you're a coach.

I was talking prior to the game. I find it hard to believe he was living under a rock when the whole "playing 3 QB's" blew up. The media made such a huge deal about that I just don't think he simple missed it. Obviously he did - but I would say it's because he just doesn't watch ESPN rather than he just missed it.

And lastly, Neveda is much tougher opponant then WMU so congradulations on beating a MAC team (I know that you guys know the MAC very well, seeing as how you usually have so many problems with them) Nevada had three players to put over 1,000 yards rushing last season. If we can shutout a team that had over 3,000 combined rushing yards last year, then what makes you think your run oriented style of offense will do much of anything against our defense? we are going to blitz like crazy on scUM

Actually no, Nevada had one of the worst defenses of all 119 teams last year - while WMU's wasn't spectacular it was definitely within, at least, the top 100. WMU has a QB that most are predicting to be one of the first 5 picked in the NFL draft. Nevada put up those rushing numbers in the WAC or MWC or whatever terrible conference they are in.

Well first off, WMU was 9-4 and Nevada was 7-6. Secondly I never said Nevada didn't have a good offense but anyone claiming that Nevada was far better than WMU is just uniformed. Sure Nevada was 5 spots higher in offense but defensively Nevada was one of the worst teams last year. Not to mention that WMU beat Illinois last year - they didn't "almost beat" them...they beat them, and Iowa the year before.

None of the formations he was in were wildcat. He was 2/4 on passing and would have been 3/4 if it weren't for a drop on a bubble screen. I'd say he's doing just fine. Just because they didn't use him to pass a lot doesn't mean he can't.

But there's a reason they didn't use him to pass, and used Forcier instead. Given Robinson's clearly insane athletic ability, you think Rod would bother with Tate if Robinson could throw very well? Maybe he can and RRod was trying to hide it from ND, but as of right now I am not convinced he can hurt us throwing the ball. Which, in my opinion, makes him of little more use than in running a Wildcat. I understand it wasn't a Wildcat formation, but it was USED like one, for the most part.

They used him less to pass because Forcier is a better passer and knows the offense better because Forcier came early. That still doesn't mean that Robinson can't pass - in fact the coaches say he passes better than the junior pat white did. In practice, and while I know it is just practice, Robinson had just as many 40 yard bombs as he had 40 yard runs.

Our defense played extremly well against Nevada, who has primarily a run oriented style offense. Michigan has a similiar offense with the spread. We are going to be blitzing Michigan like crazy, I can already see it. Putting a lot of pressure on those two freshman quarterbacks. This is going to be up to our defense in my opinion. they need to play hard, fast, and big. Clausen is going to have to be on his A game through the air as well. We need to connect in this one. I say 27-21 Notre Dame wins

also wanted to add..i think the irish is set up in a pro set(correct me if i am wrong) and jimmy looks very comfortable in that set..even though the runningback isnt going to see much of a 100 yard day all the time, at least yet, the air game is clausens strong suit..i think that his WR's down field could open up the door for long runs against the D if pro screens are used to throw the D off..but if charlie plans to stick it in the middle, that wont fly.i think to the outside is best(with allen)

i look at the game between notre dame and nevada to be a start..and hopefully, nevada is better then the way they looked..and hopefully our defense was just that good..michigan is next, and it will be in there house..so crowd will be a factor..i feel that running will not be a strong point against the M of U D..but charlie will run it at times..so i dont feel this will be a high scoring game..24 to 10,notre dame wins..thats my prediction
