Music plays an important role for making a level/boss greater than it actually is.
If you hit that one epic moment which I think is about 2-4 minutes in during the first quicktime event in unleashed? Holy shit the ammount of rainbow vomit is unbearable.
The Boss fight was fun in generations, but it was more bland when it came to the Music + Boss combo, which is why I change it to something like "His World".

Egg Dragoon was actually the only boss in Generations that gave me trouble on normal mode. I kept getting hit by EXTREMELY awkwardly timed attacks. After a while, I had to stop boosting because I'd get hit by a pillar of flame that would kill me during the transition between 2D and 3D.
@NekoKasane damn i envy those that get too face metal overlord as i cannot beat the damn game (its just too hard), wish i could have fun whipping his butt, super sonic rules!
I beat Unleash but don't remember this boss at all. Def was hardest in generations though. A pleasant surprise, because the game and most bosses are easy as crap.
@vonToast Uhh for a gamer who wants a challenge, Generations. That fight is hard to not get hit by any of Eggman's attacks. It's also kind of difficult to know when you should hit the Egg Dragoon as well
@CrayzMario64 i have played the demo of the game and i can tell its really worth it plays good and the 3D effect is good aswell but if you dont want it then im not anyone to tell you what to buy.

When I was fighting Robotnik and he launched the giant anime wings it synched up to the part @1:15. My mind was F'ing blown. The whole scenario was so epic that it made up for the nightmare that was Eggman Land.

The reason the Egg Dragoon boss fight is so easy is because Eggman designed it to beat Sonic the HEDGEHOG, not his Sonic the WEREHOG. You remember how Eggman owned Sonic with the Egg Dragoon in the opening cutscene (Well, at least before he went Super)? So, Eggman didn't expect to fight a werehog, and got his ass handed to him.

@Gambito99100 In Sonic CD, there is an underwater boss battle that gives you bubbles to breathe. In Sonic 3, Hydrocity Act 2, Eggman's whirlpool machine helps you get to his weak point. In Sonic Adventure, the Egg Viper lets you homing attack to reach him while he's trying to shoot you with a laser. In Shadow the Hedgehog, Shadow made the Egg Dealer that gives you items and Shadow Fever. What moron would build machines that could possibly help the opponent?

@trey1177 No I think thet Egg Dragoon is easier, the hard part is when you're sky diving into him. Other than that, he's kinda easy. The Time Eater takes like 8 minutes to kill, and 6 until you die. And you HAVE to use Super Sonic.

Right up their with some of the best battles in Devil may cry and God of war :D my jaw dropped at how climatic it was ripping every part of eggman's machine was pure insane.

Oh yeah man they do make some cheesy stuff but all the final boss battles in this game is wicked epic to insane, most epic sonic boss battle since doomsday and death egg zone boss from S&K3.
@nagasaki95 No, it shows that there's 2 tyes of gameplay that help keep the other from becoming monotonous. Both sides help each other and are fun gameplay styles of their own.
In all truthfulness, I don't want to be fighting this thing as the Werehog again. I'm glad I get to fight this thing as Modern Sonic. And that is changing things up.
I mean, come on. Werehog vs Dragoon in generations would be like the fight in Unleashed, only in higher-def.

The difference between the Wisps and the Werehog is that Wisps actually lend themselves to enhance the original gameplay, not completely change it like Werehog did.

"Enhancing" gameplay with power-ups isn't better than actually new gameplay which keeps both gameplays fresh by taking turns. Where did you hear that Perfect Chaos is being changed so you fight him with Sonic? I'd like to see more proof aside from the less impressive re-design before believing you.
@vgman94 What I was trying to say was that Werehog would be a DRASTIC change in gameplay for just one boss, as opposed to the Wisps which are just glorified powerups. That and Werehog was the part that got terrible reviews, so bringing it back would be a terrible idea.
Since Perfect Chaos isn't the final boss, having Super Sonic would be silly. It's painfully obvious from the way it's set up that only normal Sonic will fight it. It's not evidence, but it is common sense.
Review-wise, I doubt one boss fight (which would likely make 4-5 minutes of the entire game time) would affect anything. Plus the game sold around 5 million copies and has one of the largest fanbases of any Sonic game (only SA2 beats it out in terms of YT views). Hell, I got a comment saying the Werehog is too badass to leave OUT on a Generations video. If the Colors trend continues, the final boss WOULDN'T have Super Sonic, but other stages would. "Common sense" sounds more like desperation.
There. No Werehog. Stop trying to argue this. And the whole Super Sonic point was it would be stupid for Sega to put Super Sonic in the middle of the game as opposed to the end or as an unlockable.

@ProjectAngelLuna No, the game is already mediocre because all you do is running and platforming. Sonic Adventure 1, 2, Heroes, Shadow, Unleashed and the storybook games all had some more than just that. I do understand your point on new approaches, though. Sonic had speed in the Day stages, and had speed perfectly mixed in games like Shadow, Heroes and Black Knight. Sonic is not solely about speed, so adding new, non-speed related ideas won't kill a game and not entirely for sure.

@DarkYoshi17 Ahem. Sonic ran fast in Unleashed Day, Black Knight (and you could skip half the enemies to keep the pace) and Sonic Heroes. The thing is those games ALWAYS kept something more than just that. The Werehog, team gameplay, Caliburn. Those were all mixed with speed. Speed alone is not good enough. Sonic as a series needs speed as an important aspect, but not the whole of the gameplay. Even Mario is more than just platforming if I recall right.

@Gambito99100 In Sonic CD, there is an underwater boss battle that gives you bubbles to breathe. In Sonic 3, Hydrocity Act 2, Eggman's whirlpool machine helps you get to his weak point. In Sonic Adventure, the Egg Viper lets you homing attack to reach him while he's trying to shoot you with a laser. In Shadow the Hedgehog, Shadow made the Egg Dealer that gives you items and Shadow Fever. What moron would build machines that could possibly help the opponent?

@Gambito99100 actually other way around. he build it for sonic the hedgehog but the werehog showed up and he tore up the robot compared to the opening scene where its actually pwning sonic without the dark gaia power. in generations though sonic has more room to run and he can take out eggman

@trey1177 No I think thet Egg Dragoon is easier, the hard part is when you're sky diving into him. Other than that, he's kinda easy. The Time Eater takes like 8 minutes to kill, and 6 until you die. And you HAVE to use Super Sonic.

@Funkermonster idk i did time eater on my first try without getting hit and in 4 mins. so i wouldnt consider it hard. even on hard mode i got an S. but egg dragoon i did that boss without getting hit nd its hell
and on hard mode i cant even do it right then..... its hard. the diving part is easy. well thats just my opinion

@trey1177 Uh, I can beat Egg Dragoon in 3 mintues and 33 secoonds, and all of his attacks are super easy to avoid. On Normal mode, he's extremely easy. It takes 3:58 for me to beat the Time Eater, he's harder to attack in my opinion. The wall-jumping part is so easy, so is the grinding. What moron would build a machine that could possible help the opponent? But anyways, I respect your opinion.

This was such an epic battle on all 3 PS3, 360 and wii version to.
Right up their with some of the best battles in Devil may cry and God of war :D my jaw dropped at how climatic it was ripping every part of eggman's machine was pure insane.

The difference between the Wisps and the Werehog is that Wisps actually lend themselves to enhance the original gameplay, not completely change it like Werehog did.

"Enhancing" gameplay with power-ups isn't better than actually new gameplay which keeps both gameplays fresh by taking turns. Where did you hear that Perfect Chaos is being changed so you fight him with Sonic? I'd like to see more proof aside from the less impressive re-design before believing you.

@vgman94 What I was trying to say was that Werehog would be a DRASTIC change in gameplay for just one boss, as opposed to the Wisps which are just glorified powerups. That and Werehog was the part that got terrible reviews, so bringing it back would be a terrible idea.
Since Perfect Chaos isn't the final boss, having Super Sonic would be silly. It's painfully obvious from the way it's set up that only normal Sonic will fight it. It's not evidence, but it is common sense.

Review-wise, I doubt one boss fight (which would likely make 4-5 minutes of the entire game time) would affect anything. Plus the game sold around 5 million copies and has one of the largest fanbases of any Sonic game (only SA2 beats it out in terms of YT views). Hell, I got a comment saying the Werehog is too badass to leave OUT on a Generations video. If the Colors trend continues, the final boss WOULDN'T have Super Sonic, but other stages would. "Common sense" sounds more like desperation.

It would be stupid in any other case, but when going back in time to a boss fight where Sonic had a specific form, it'd only make sense to use that form again to defeat the boss rather than fight them another way. It's all about giving new twists to old battles. SEGA, I'm sure, wanted some new approaches. I'm fine with this.
Now, I know you're going to rant and rave about how Sonic needs to "evolve" and stuff. Gimmicks are fine, but only if they don't take away from Sonic his trademark speed. Otherwise it's just going to kill the game entirely and stink up the Sonic name even more.

@ProjectAngelLuna No, the game is already mediocre because all you do is running and platforming. Sonic Adventure 1, 2, Heroes, Shadow, Unleashed and the storybook games all had some more than just that. I do understand your point on new approaches, though. Sonic had speed in the Day stages, and had speed perfectly mixed in games like Shadow, Heroes and Black Knight. Sonic is not solely about speed, so adding new, non-speed related ideas won't kill a game and not entirely for sure.

@DarkYoshi17 Ahem. Sonic ran fast in Unleashed Day, Black Knight (and you could skip half the enemies to keep the pace) and Sonic Heroes. The thing is those games ALWAYS kept something more than just that. The Werehog, team gameplay, Caliburn. Those were all mixed with speed. Speed alone is not good enough. Sonic as a series needs speed as an important aspect, but not the whole of the gameplay. Even Mario is more than just platforming if I recall right.
