  • when i gain weight, it's always the infrequency of exercise. This past year I had shingles, 2 bronchial infections, and 1 flu, and blisters on my feet so bad that I couldn't put weight on them without bandages (that I bled through). The point being, as I was battling one illness to the next, my lifestyle of daily exercise stopped. And I gained so weight as a result. Now that my lungs are clearing up, and I started workouts again, I'm losing lbs and inches.

  • Eating 3 meals will also keep you full if you right the foods and there is no need for snacking. Don't always assume that you have to eat 6 small meals rather than 3 regular meals to lose weight.

  • In fact eating 6 small meals a day is even better! So that your regular 3 meals, just cut them in half and space them out for the day :) It helps you to feel full I have found :)

I do know(on youtube) 2 very over weight women who have been using HCG drops and following the regimen, -I have been following their yo yo dieting for over 2 years, this is the first time I have ever seen BOTH of them successful in their weight loss journey-their results are amazing to see. I have stuck with post menopausal diet , less carbs for me, the better I feel, the more energy I have, and my health is improving-I remove process foods-weight-loss is slow, but steady for my age.

  • look people this is not a heatlhy way on doing it but my friend was 278 and all he eats is this one slimfast when he wakes up then between and u can have 3 100cal+another slimfast like fruit veg etc then for dinner a 500cal meal in 1 1/2 week he lost 8 lbs and like the top 2 commets say its right it does work u just have to follow the steps it gives you and yeah its hard cause idk about yall but i fucking like food atm iam 200lb but wana be at 180

  • Oh to clarify. I'm not saying exercise is bad. It's great for people who can incorporate it into their weight plan. But personally, it didn't work for me.

  • The exercised part is so not true. I lost 60 pounds portion sizing my normal meals and cutting out the snacks, that's it, end of story. And I've kept it off for the last 3 years. I found that when I exercised, I would justify eating more and I would actually gain weight. The key is to stop obsessing about food, live life, and find healthier non-food outlets for comfort.

  • Just set a goal for yourself, eat healthy with small portions and 3-6 times daily (depending on body type) and get your butt out running and sweating. I bet you it will look easier once your body has a few days (months for some)of workout.

    Avoid your sugar and try to assimilate it from fruits and raw honey (not store bought), also change your drinking habits. WATER is your friend, not soda, coffee or the other 100% juices you get on supermarkets. Make your own juice and drink it right away!

    You set your body up for disaster by overeating junk foods before starting a new healthier diet. Unfortunately this is probably one of the most common moves that many people make. If you have ever gone on a diet or know someone who has, you have probably heard or experienced the "last supper" where huge amounts of food are binged on (and not usually even enjoyed) in an effort to eat as many forbidden foods as possible before they are taken off the menu.

  • Nearly all diets =do= work, doctor. Most of them =do= give the very advice you give in that it is a life style change. Like you say, it's everyone's responsibility. The problem wasn't the diet they chose. The problem was they didn't follow through on the lifestyle change.

  • @gareebee That's because they're sold as "get fit quick" diets. People want to lose weight and diet for a month and suddenly they're drop dead gorgeous without having to commit to a life long change. He's absolutely right, he even called the diets good diets, it's the way they're sold and they way people think about it. This lifestyle change doesn't need to be as complicated as it sounds, it's actually ridiculously easy to be healthy.

  • @gareebee That doesn't make sense, diets are usually short term fixes in my understanding of diets. They do NOT refer to lifestyle changes. They are usually an attempt to fit into new clothes, lose wait for the summer holidays, impress a new partner etc. A lifestyle change is not a quick fix diet. It is actually a change of diet. The presenter in the video is presenting a lifestyle change that makes sense, whilst short term diets do not. The only diet that works is a life style change.

  • I find the hardest thing for me when dieting is getting enough nutrition. Smaller portions work, but I’m left hungry and less food= less nutrition. I use nutritional supplements now and eat healthy, full meals.I got started at ryansnutrition com and have my appetite under control.

  • My plan is free. I was 298 lbs. I dropped to 223 in a few months. I never went hungry. For 2 weeks 0-3g carbs per day. After that increase carbs to 20g per day. Adjust intake to a balance once you acieve your goal. Eat 4-8 meals a day depending on hungar. I did minimul activity. I would walk for about an hour 2 times a week in good weather. You can eat as much as you want, just watch the carb intake. This will cost you nothing to try. Before you dismis this method try it for yourself.

    If I make a site I will try to get lists of 0 carb as well as low carb foods. You would be amazed to see what you can eat while still losing excess weight. I was eating fast foods more than 5 times a week and still losing. There are certain things that are your best friend as well as enemy in the food world. Most diets require alot of money and major diet changes. My plan does not. The concept is simple.

  • Diets in the typical sense do not work! Simple! I have tried a lot of different methods for weight loss and a book i read here helped me shift 25lbs in 2 months. Give it a read!

  • The truth is that people are weak-minded and are addicted to food. Pure and simple. Quit making it complicated.

    "Appropriate food"? I eat 1.5 cups of brown rice and 6-8 raw eggs a day.

    “Exercise”? I lost 50 pounds in 8 months WITHOUT exercise. I have MS and can barely walk. Exercise is irrelevant to weight loss. I am 5 feet 6 inches and 150 pounds. I was 200!

    I don't eat many vegetables or fruit because I can’t shop. I’ve talked to people that are obese and they MAKE EXCUSES.

  • Great video, and yea, losing weight is not easy, but it's POSSIBLE. The think is that there is soo many OTHER ways to lose weight. For example, my favourite is dancing to the music I love (2h/day). Or playing soccer with my kids.. there is so many funny and simple methods out there, and you don't even need to spend hours in gym. I lost about 30 pounds already. All those methods I discovered at w w w. weightlossdatabase.info <- this membership site is simply amazing and has some unique ways.

  • I know there are some bad 'miracle pills' out there, but I am truly a believer in Colopure Cleanse I started taking it mid-April and on the 5th of May I had lost almost 10lbs.   • Saying 'Diets Don't Work' is ridiculous. He starts off saying that, then talks about changing your diet habits, that is a diet! Diets do work, even crash diets, the problem is most people will diet, lose 10-30 pounds, then go back to fast food and candy bars, and claim, 'The diet didn't work because I gained it back'. You need to eat healthy after losing the weight in order to keep it off.  I used the HCG diet, lost 30 pounds, and have kept it off by eating well.

  • Anyone that has family in other countries knows that the food we eat in this country is CRAP. They dont have this epedimic in other countries. Ever heard of the French Paradox. The French consume four times the fat that americans consume yet a heart attack is almost unheard of. Its the quality of the food you put in your body that will make all of the difference. Hot pockets and fast food are complete crap. I personally think its a conspiracy

    There is huge amount of different added stuff and drugs added to your food that makes you just as addictet to crave it as a junkie crave for drugs!

    Only 5% of (junkies) manage to stop drugs and there addiction, the same case is for sugar. Processed sugar is exstrem addictive, and you will find it in 80-90% of all food suplies in your local suparmarket. Even cigarets have sugar in it. Bacon have often added sugar in it.etc

    can cla seriously be taken without any major side effects? I have about 15 pounds that I would like to lose. Would cla help me with that? I am eating a healthy breakfast and fairly healthy meals the rest of the day. I do work for a snack distribution company and it's difficult not to eat a few of those every day and I guess I need to work on that. I have started treadmill activity for about 30 minutes a day and really want to start seeing some results.

  • He is wrong about exercise. Do not exercise to lose weight if you are obese. Do not associate fat loss with exercise except when you are about 10 or 15 pounds towards your target weight. If you are obese then just follow his advice until you are ready for exercise. Exercise will scare off many people from even trying to lose fat. I lost 50 lbs of fat in 8 months and am now slim. I am disabled and can't exercise. It was easy.

    The videos that spoke to me were by Steve Turano. Search YouTube for, “Foods and Diet for Easy Fat Loss” (watch?v=zgN9tdYPWzc) He has more and has the most common sense.

    To emphasize the point about calories, watch this one, “Eat Snickers and Lose Weight - The Calorie Principle” (watch?v=D6LdCBBJp-w&feature=c­hannel)

    The subject is about fat loss which has nothing to do with eating carrots and salad, but it is, of course, better to eat right. It is a starting point.

  •  I've never followed a diet trend. He's right, I have never done a diet and I have never been overweight & I'm in my 30's. I grow my own food & raise chickens for my own eggs too. I eat normal real foods at a moderate level. Eat early in the morning, lots of water throughout the day, a VERY strict sleep schedule, a very small dinner & hardly ever eat in the evening.

  • @lookingtotomorrow buy 1.5 litre-bottles of water. Drink at least one daily. Start any dynamic sport you like ( tennis, soccer, basketball etc) and combine it with working out in a gym. e.g. Also stop eating junk food, but eat any normal food you enjoy, just in smaller portions. Start ENJOYING those changes as your new way of life. Live it in the now or else its pointless.

    Take it as your way of life, not just some means to an end. :)

  • There are several methods I'm sure. Perhaps some supplements work, most don't, clinics, trainers, exercise.. blah blah... As someone who has lost weight and kept it off... EAT RIGHT, DRINK WATER CONSTANTLY, GET REST, EXERCISE MORE!!! The inches will fall off, if not, then #1 your eating wrong. Sugars, fats, candy and ice Cream.. FAIL!!!

  • It's one thing to live healthy, and another thing to look good. It's more complicated than that. Even tho he's right about SOME of the things, he still doesn't know what the hell is he talking about. Go ask few questions in a bodybuilding forum about metabolism and muscle recovery - you are going to get ROFL'd, cause it's something that you have to know as a child knows his name.

  • The Paleo diet is the ONLY diet. My allergies have all but vanished, my health improved, my energy increased, it even brought my hypoglycemia under control. Oh, and during the first year of eating strictly Paleo, I lost 60 pounds. . . without exercising. No effort, my body shed the pounds and one year later I have kept them off.

  • Being overweight is a consequence of damaging one's metabolism. Insulin and leptin resistance, plain and simple. To lose weight, get healthy. Starving yourself with less than 1500 calories might make you lose weight, but you ruin your body and will gain it back and then some when you start eating more again. It's easier and tastier to just learn how to eat to be healthy.
