I think I get the story. Frank Castle is recruited by Stryker. Wolverine escapes the factilty after the procedure. Stryker tells Punisher to capture (or kill) Logan. The two heroes meet and fight it out. At one point, they discover Stryker tricked them both. They team up to take him down. This happened in the comics, why not a film?

And on top of that he is one of the most lethal hand to hand combatants, being in the wars, a cia agent at one time, and being trained as a samurai. This is going off the top of my head but im almost positive hes mastered nearly all forms of close range and hand to hand combat. And you're forgetting his adamantium skeleton too, which make him almost completely bulletproof.

It's a matter of who gets the jump on who first, with the right weopon for their weakness. I've seen Punisher defeat Daredevil with a simple button in one second with a range of 10 miles. No one is invincible, everyone has a weakness.

The issue was "The Punisher Kills The Universe" in which Cyclops accidentally destroys a building in which there was a family and seeing their deaths set Frank into a psychotic state in which he began killing every Hero on Earth because in the deranged state he was in he believed they had killed his family. It ends with him discovering that Daredevil is Matt Murdock after Frank fatally wounded him. It ended with Frank shooting himself in atonement for killing Matt.

The story to this almost looks like they offered the Punisher to be apart of them... but with him shooting his guns looks like he's going to shut them down even if Wolverine gets in the way. Or at least that's what I see because the Punisher would in no way ever want his memory erased.

Hopefully in that type of story they would at one point team-up because I would love to see that.

I think that was the what if series where he killed Daredevil, only cos he did pull the trigger that was strapped to his hand (gun wasn't loaded), Spidey came after him for justice. Pun killed spidey, then the wolverine confrontation etc. after that it was 100 vs one. Frank had no chance and did die.
