@deaneratos AFAIR I had to patch the source myself in order to get the sound working, it's buggy ;)

I may have misunderstood you, but when you say that you didn't get colors working, i think you are wrong... bcuz.... the grayscale has 256 colors lol

could you tell me what you've fixed in the source? I have the problem that the demo crashes as soon as sound is supposed to start playing. If I play the demo without sound it runs smoothly. Is that the same problem you had?

what's your distro ? and x86 or x86_64 ? faled to compile it on gentoo.. may be you can help ? :) btw it my favorite linux demo ;)

I was not able it to compile it myself without some modifications to the source ;) I am using openSUSE.
