You start with saying that all I said was wrong but you end your comment with "Facebook is a real threat to privacy" - a bit of an oxymoron, don't you think? In any event, you accept TOS of a service/website if they are public and you as a user have been notified of any changes. So legally they have to let you know that they changed stuff before those rules have any binding effect.
Actually, they only have to let you know of any changes as a courtesy of a fair warning. They don't have to provide with any recourse to, as a user, protest any changes. For example, Facebook can be even more open and remove all privacy settings. Can they do that? They sure can. As the TOS says, they own everything you put on your Facebook page and they can distribute it as they see fit. They can give notice that everything will be public, but user have to recourse to stop them.
The new terms of use now allows them to own of the stuff I post on Facebook, right?
AND, this wasn´t like that before, right?
So, if I made an account agreeing to the tprevious TOS (which didn´t include them having the right to own my stuff), how is the new TOS have any legal value?
When I made my account, this was not in the agreement.
Does this mean they will take possesion of my stuff anyway?
Doesn't matter. As a Facebook user, the Terms apply to you as the accountholder even if they are changed. The Terms are, what is know in legal language, as a "living document". The document has power and continues to have power in all instances, and applies to all participants, current and former, and maybe changed at any time, and without consent of the accountholders. By joining Facebook, the Terms apply to you, now and forever afterward.
google is controlled by the goverment, google now owns facebook, all that information is going to become a criminal background infomation for the goverment, big brother is watching you!!!
Zuckerberg is nuts. The TOS say he owns all your content, pics, info, the lot. Here is how to delete your account so there won't be anything left for him to own. Delete all your info., emails, & posts on your wall, delete all of your photos, then delete all your friends. Only after all of that should you delete your account. Anything left in your facebook account when you leave will be the property of facebook FOREVER. I closed my account, f*ck Zuckerberg that **** & facebook.
is this still the same today? because i cant seem to find it?

Is there anywhere we don't have to sign a TOS now? How many of us have time to read all of them? Can you imagine YouTube ever doing this??

I've already decided to leave Facebook when the injunction comes and FORCES them to release its users from this "agreement."
