At the end of the game, Fang and Vanille summed up their walks in life.

Think of the lyrics, the hand shakes and wants to break things. It doesn't want to understand. You can hear the cries of their struggle. They became a l'Cie, and next thing they know, they have to race against time before becoming mindless zombies. Some of those characters, say Lightning or Hope, wants to deny being a l'Cie and fought over and over every enemy they trample upon, just to hope everything's okay again.

For those who doesn't think this fits the game, I have looked at the lyric while listening to it. I realize this song was about struggle. And that is what the whole game is about. They were struggling to figure out their whole purpose in life while running from those who wanted to purge them. After all the battles and defeat the main enemy of it all, they gained their normal life and their loved ones were decrystalized. Through their hardships, they got their happy ending.

It's one of the most powerful enemies, his flaw is that he's heartbroken that The Maker abandoned him, and his plan is to destroy Orphan.

Particularly,, 1:31 - 2:10 describes him perfectly. He doesn't cry, he laughs, and he's never afraid. This does not describe Lightning, who is often afraid and never laughs.

at first, I thought it was a bad idea to have a song to replace the original Japanese song, but when I finished the game and enjoyed the FMV, it fits well into the context of the game overall.

Thats why so many people are deeply emotionally affected by this song during the end sequence. Our physical interaction with the FFXIII was via the controller. Thats my take on the song and the game.

i dont understand why people complain about this game, i understand it was different from other games in the series and the characters spoke cheesy dialog, but it was meant to have an anime style story, witch is what i loved about this game! the gameplay mabye wasnt the best, but to be honest i had so much fun playing as a senteniel for some reason, i tryed to select the commands i want from the ability's list, but i did end up using the auto battle quite a bit.
