THIS WOULD BEE A CHEAP WAY 2 TRAVEL THREW SPACE JUST FIRE A ROCKET AT HAYLEYS COMET NEXT TIME ITS SUPPOST 2 COME THIS WAY THEN WE JUST LOCK ON AND HAY LEY PRESTO A FREE ROUND TRIP TICKET AROUND OUR SOLAR SYSTEM PLUS AS ITS MADE OF MOSTLY ICE WE ALSO GET ALL THE FREE DRINKING WATER WE NEED 2 ASWELL
@mickasso1 Thats actually true, the best way to circum navigate the Solar System is to hitchhike a peroidic comet or an Asteroid, or even to travel cheap to outer Planets to ride on one these comets and simply when reaching the desired destination is to fire the rocket and lift off...you are absolutely right we have all the drinking water we need and even can be used to fuel for rockets in future...thankx for the comment:)
@SpaceChronologyCom yes i made it with my Planetarium, and have more videos about Halley's Comet and other comets too. you can enjoy it on your web site, no problem
It would be cool if you put approx. dates with the graphics, oh, i'll be 95 when it comes again, lol, looking forward to it, being too optimistic??????
there is always that posiblity of coliding with Earth, its not alone in this, there are as many as 2000 Earth Crossing objects, comets and meteorites that poss real threat to life here on Earth, it happened in the past it will happen in future no doubt.
the question is when will happend again, hopefully we arl lucky enough to detect them b4 entering danger zone and do something about them..Dinosaurs made it 185 million years b4 extinction, human is here only 3 million years.
I got to see it. I can barely remember it, but I do recall it being visible even in daytime. I was in Puerto Rico when it paid us a visit back in '86. I wonder if I'll be around in 2062. Would sure love to see it again.
of course Halley's Comet is big enough to be seen by naked eyes...but you have to be in the right place to see it..the next encounter unfortunately is in 2062 and it will be seen from southern hemisphere of Earth...
The age of Augustus caesar 76 born in 63died 14 its not hard to work out who the real son of god and saviour of peace being that a star lit up his birth and death edmond halley worked it out and its not a spurious barn birth
Ive seen Mars on the sky, Venus, The Planet Alignments, all the recent Eclipses, meteor shower... BUT Never Halley's comet ... too bad I'll be like 70 when a chance like that happens again
What a disappointment it was after all the hype of the return! We were on the other side of the sun from it when Halley reached perihelion. Still, it was fun to see.

This year is the centennial of Halley's comet's visibility to earth =D

I saw it back in 1986 ... i was in Honduras at the time ... and the view was much better from there, rather than from the states.

So seeing as it crosses earth orbital path, does that mean there's a chance of it colliding with earth?

I think Halley died already?!
SkilletMusicFan1 2 years ago
who do you think Halley died, it will return between 2061 - 2062, hopefully you see it by then but you will be 66 years old my friend...
KurdstanPlanetarium 2 years ago
Um well i read it in a book on comets.
It said "last appearance in 1886"
im not sure if its true
SkilletMusicFan1 2 years ago
that must be 1986 which last appeared as my video shows. Halley Comet is a regular short period comet and it circles the Sun every 76 years.
KurdstanPlanetarium 2 years ago
Good Lord willin i'll be 71 when it returns. But the comet's namesake died in 1749 that might be what skilletmusicfan is referring to
Mctaggart6412 2 years ago
At least you have a chance to see it...
KurdstanPlanetarium 2 years ago
it will be seen again in 2061, 2138, 2214, 2290, 2366 and every 76 years so on and so fourth
