This boss was too easy for me... Just used Lulu, Rikku, and Wakka the whole time.

my party consisted of Tidus and Yuna and Lulu for the first half of the game and the second half was Rikku instead of lulu and when yuna was taken away i was stuck with Tidus Lulu and Rikku you know how hard that is when lulu became so weak

First time i beat this boss, i spent about 30 turns using aim, faith, cheer and reflex as well as moving away repeatedly, took her down in about 8 hits, possibly the toughest story boss in the game

@whiteboardvlogs Yeah, that is what I meant, even when you are over leveled, if not properly prepared, Yunalesca can make short work of you, Evrae on the other hand can be difficult, but to me, he is nowhere near as difficult as Yunalesca is. In fact in my current playthrough of this, I made short work of him.

or.. keep rikku in your party cause you should've acquired about 50 al-bhed potions and it heals 1000 hp, petrification, poison, and some other thing that evrae does to you as a status problem. your guide is garbage. lol.

Tips:

-VERY first thing. Get rikku and use a smoke bomb. It HELPS

-Keep lulu and Auron in at all times. Use High level magics.

-don't bother using breaks....he's immune.

-Cast slow on it...because later it will cast haste on itself

-keep tidus or rikku in..one or the other

-ALWAYS try to get away from the poison breath, but move right back in once he uses it.

-Al-Bhed potions....enough said.

-Watch out for it's stone gaze (al-bhed potions)

1. the strength spheres you get in thunder plains

2. at this point your top 3 should be doing well over 2000 at this point or else you will be pretty screwed later.

3. the amount of time i had to level them up (i was not even in high school yet, i am 19 now)

4. i had a strategy guide book which i never used for boss battles but for other things.

Did any of you know that when you're playing as Rikku or Tidus, you can make them tell Cid to pull the ship back. Though you can't attack him because he is too far, a new command appears for Rikku and Tidus. It makes Cid shoot missles at Evrae. It really helps, though you have limited amount of missles.

Really? I didn't know about the missles. And though Evrae is too far, you can attack with magic and certain long distances attacks, plus summoning. Also the fact that he's away makes the boss short on attacks and causes less damage on your party.

2.-use powerbreak

3.-use armour break

4.-when he uses stone gaze or poison breath heal with an albehd potion

5.-keep hitting him

just dont get killed in bevelle as there isnt a save point for a bit

Cast slowega on him, and haste or hastega on your whole party, after that it's a piece of cake. I used Tidus, Rikku & Auron. Bomb cores come in handy, too.

i went the wrong way on the sphere grid and i got to Rikku's sphere :) so i can use steal and use, which the al bhed potions are GREAT for this fight

You don't need to waste your items, al bhed potions (that you should have a lot of) will cure petrification, poison, and give you back hp. You can avoid poison breath when evrae breaths in on that turn, so after it breaths in, use the trigger command to pull back. That way, only photon spray (really weak) and swooping scythe (only used when evrae has low hp) can hit you. Haste, cheer, and reflex are a must, and elemental magic on him is halved. When you're ready, just give the command to pull in

@JustyRoads99 ! THANKS! I Got him down to like... 4K HP and he did Poison breathe and only left Rikku alive with like 300Hp (I had Rikku Auron Tidus). He just did another hit I DON't T KNOW HOW but he just killed Rikku.. I got so close, and on first try. It was my only try also.

well, seeing as how yuna is MIA for this, Rikku is practically a must because she's resident healer. My party consisted of;

Tidus (Haste/Slow + Trigger)

Rikku (Heals + Trigger)

evrae is easy as long as u keep either tidus or rikku n your group. that way when she inhales, they can give the order to back away, so the poison mist misses them. also the airship can use its salvo attack.

Whew, I haven't played this game in awile!!

I beat this boss a lot, but never survived after, so I had to fight him over a lot. Seing this vid shows how much courage some people have!!

When I played, I moved my team away from the monster as much as possible, while giving support moves to strengthen my team so when my team moved in, I could pound him. Letting Wakka wail on him from afar was also good, but you got to be careful to not attract the beast.

When he uses Haste on himself, and you really can't beat him, just use your Overdrives. 6k Damage is easy to pull off with Overdrives. Just remember to fill them up before the fight.

If you let Kimahri follow Rikku's portion of the grid, this battle should be a cinch. Al Bhed Potions are the way to go.

Tips:

-Evrae is immune to all breaks

-Slowga does the same thing as slow as Evrae is only one

-Al Bhed Potions heal Petrification and Poison so keep Rikku alive and not petrified.

-Pulling the ship makes Cid attack with missiles that hurt Evrae for 2000+ I think

-Lulu should try to know at least Waterga by this battle to make things a lot easier

-Wakka is should use Dark Attack as it remains for 3 turns and Dark Buster remains for 1

The Evrae bastard keeps using Poison Breathe on me whenever it gets to around 6000 HP. It inhales, I tell Cid to move the ship back, but Cid can't fucking move the ship fast enough to avoid the poison breathe! I found a strategy too do this but it never works out! Can someone help?
