  • if this has happened at least 6 times before then where does the life keep coming from?

surely there would be nothing left to begin again?

  • meteors hit earth all the time, just not this big lol, n 1 this big would kill almost all life, not just by the blast, for decades after the sky would be filled with dirt and debri which would block the sun, killing plant life, which kills what eats the plants, which in turn kill what eats what eats the plants, all along a long chain untill it gets to us. and more aless everything else accept bacteria.

  • so if that happen irl, would anyone survive????

  • @MikeMallorca2010 No Living thing on earth

  • 2012 is not true

  • @Killer50689 contraversial, the ancient myans predicted the same date as nostradamus, thing is ancient mayans where right the 1st time they predicted mass extinction when there clander ended, n its historical fact, there is a big whipe out factor around 5700 years ago, when there 1st calander ran out. where all trace of comunities cease to exist for a while, ( not all lfie was whipe out obviously ) but a significant amount, arouind the world lots of tribes disapeared.

  • What is name of this documentary movie? I sow that before but i forget...

  • @CzechMartes I remembered, I is french documentary Planete terre :)

  • Chuck noris can surive it with only a shoe and a rock

  • @pagerage64 the asteroid IS the rock

  • all is this is a bounch of crap. None of this have happemd, and will never be such thing. Idiots.

  • @MegaRoFLL why say that

  • @MegaRoFLL

Oh, are you some sort of god? Wow

  • @MegaRoFLL It's apparent that you know nothing about the make up of our solar system. There is a huge ring of rocks orbiting the sun between Mars and Jupiter called the "asteroid belt." One could get knocked out of it's orbit and head toward the inner solar system anytime. There's also the Oort Cloud, where a huge number of comets orbit the sun beyond Pluto. It's just a matter of time before we experience a celestial strike, and we're way overdue.

  • @MegaRoFLL By the way, "bunch" is spelled b-u-n-c-h; learn to spell before you call anyone an idiot, numb nuts.

  • Lets all wait til the year 4321! That's the year that it would happen!

  • Man... Fuck...

  • this is happen when ness trys "PK starstorm"

  • Finally! An english version.

  • Did you seriously watermark something you got off of the science channel?

  • im gonna go under my bed and stay alive

  • thats why there is God.... second Life

  • @ericsantiago011 that's why you should shut up. if god would excist then explain why there are people in Africa suffering.

  • @denzelman345 because people choose evil.. like rich people..they choose evil and not helping the poor guys..they choose being with satan..MONEY... like you you have your own choice

  • @ericsantiago011 ah that's bullshit man, if there really was a god than that problem should've been solved a looonng time ago.

  • @denzelman345 Not everyone in Africa is suffering. There are MAJOR signs of progress. In many ways it's thanks to rich people who go over there as doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, geologists, and educators who help the people help themselves.

  • SURF'S UP!!!

  • This is just too scary!

  • Ill never ever search on the words comet meteor meteorite or asteroid on Youtube again!

  • GOD , save me before the earth GONE !

  • it is hell now

  • lol the earth looks like the darth star

  • @superdiovis Dont you mean Death Star?

  • lets see the great wall of china block this

  • best day for a bbq :D

  • Cool. I wonder when it happens next time.

  • earth got owned.

  • HE LIED, THE CAMERA MAN SURVIED

  • 2:47 If duke nukem ruled the world...

  • OMG CHUCK NORRIS!!

  • Well, hopefully it could land on my boss's house first!

  • mother nature must be pissed with how many times she has to start over, i now i whould

  • So This A Basiclly The End Of The World???

  • 2:07 Looks Like Its A Mohawk HAHA

  • But they didn't take it into account that we would hit that meteor with like 1000 nukes before it hits us, yes it would splitter into smaller pieces and still hit us but at least most of the earth would survive

  • @DiamondFreshGirl 1 in 250,000 chance this will happen in 2036. Scientists think that they could deflect it with a nuke or something though lol.

  • @DiamondFreshGirl

Earth does not have a hell. Nowhere is safe.

  • haha it would be funny if you were an astronaut working in a space station, u would be like shit.

  • Now that would be a tragedy! To be the only survivor of earth, only to run out of air, water and supplies in a space station. Some people have no luck.

  • 4:03 didnt say about the time lava reaches amazon. But its 1 day later, don't worry. by the time the lava reaches amazon, you'd be out into space with your packed bags

  • ouch

  • i don't think this is true no one news when is the end of the earth so stop making these videos coz the only one who news the end of us is the lord the GOD of all of us

  • If i can make that animation,I could make Earth like superheated disaster area, superheat will be 90000 degrees,Earthquake will be 12 degrees of Mercalli scale,Atmosphere will vanish,Airburst of 67 degrees crater 90 times big,Velocity

(on vertical)72 degrees and asteroid event 950000 degrees and m,s,km/s per hour.

  • there should be a video game based on someone saving the world from this type of doomsday

  • @jb200930 Majoras mask ;)

  • @nathninetyone i wasnt on about that one

  • can someone tell me how the shit went into space and CAME BACK into the atmosphere?

  • Nothing like that would happen cus we would know if it was comming and then there would be like a rockfest to save the earth, then Bruce would go up with his team and blow it up, and if there where any chunks still too big we would nuke them with the nukes that are in space so we would get the space cowboys to go up and turn those nukes towards the Meteors.

No worries bradah is all good be happy?

  • Not a meteor strike: just a deleted SSBB save.

  • damn the pillar is still standing....thats what u call a strong ruin

  • Am I playing Spore?

  • At 2:04 Its Guile from Street Fighter poping out from earth =P

  • That's what you call a global killer. Nothing survives, not even bacterias and viruses.

  • Oh Shit, We're Boned!!!

  • looks like the death star

  • this is bullshit

  • OK, so:

    * House in the mountains to avoid the tide: wrong

    * Underwater bunker: Water evaporates and there you go

    * Underground, underwater bunker: What happens when the oceans re-fill?

    * Underground bunker in a continent: Still, you've got to dig deeper than you think...

    Ideas?

  • @Garbimba1900 The moon is just fine.

  • @desu38

You'd have to be dug in...This impact would be powerful enough to hurl some debris onto the moon

  • @Garbimba1900

The scale of the impact described on this video goes many times beyond all the suggestions you've listed. listen to 1:19 again. There's no ideas. The only idea would be to get the hell out of Earth before the impact but we do not posses to technology.

  • @Zeiden250 Ya, so far we the Moon has been voted twice as the best option :D

  • Not deadly intent but calamitous intent :D

  • I think maybe it's time we move to more than one planet.

  • The creepy part is that if you survive the shockwave and are on the other side of the planet then you would live for a very long time after initial impact. It would be a terrible last few hours.

  • I think this is what happened to mars.

  • That's one way to get rid of the oil spill

  • It looks like a pumpkin pie

  • I agree.............forget the abstruse detail.........if a planetoid this big struck earth, we would be F#*KED!!! We would be dead on so many levels..........especially if that buisiness about the poles being reversed is true. The shock wave would burst every cell in our body. The crust Tsunami is the least of our worries.

  • Who was the narrator? I've heard the voice somewhere before, but just can't put a face to the voice.

  • @dannykanes I think it would be Patrick Stewart, ie Picard.

  • @dannykanes No it isn't Patrick Stewart. But you're right, I recognise the voice also!!

  • Comment removed

  • @dannykanes michael gambon or christopher plummer i think

  • Yes, Yes it can Ghost can survive this impacted.

    Agree to Disagree

    Agree - If i'm right

    Disagree- If i'm wrong

  • Hmm, let's see... Massive impact causes massive tsunami, then vaporizes the ocean, then burns off all of Earth's atmosphere, and wipes out all traces of humanity. I'd say on average that if something like that happens anytime soon, we'd all have about 4-8 hours to live, depending on our distance from the impact. I'd take solace in the fact though, that everyone else on Earth would meet the same fate as I would. At least no one would be alone.

  • at 2:55 looks like a huge maffin.

  • Dude i have to gj fo the dentist the day the meteor hits can we rescudule being anilated for may be next week.

  • @JikkiTikki

Next week I have a doctor's appointment, there's this ache in my back I have to have checked out. Week after next is the soonest possible date I can get around to being vaporised along with the rest of creation. Sorry man, it's just gotta wait.

  • Yeah, earth needs to be formated every once in a while, too much viruses.

  • @ 2:48 IT looks like a reses butter cup thumbs up if it does!!!!

  • at 2:46 it looks like earth has a hat on it and its 1% its gonna happen and 99% not gonna happen lol XD

  • i dont get the part that life begins again

if it really happened b4 and all creature and plants are died and no water... how is this possible to re begin again? there's nothing except for lava on EARTH...

  • @ArT1Tuvsho Not all life was destroyed. In that very same documentary it is stated that microbes and bacteria survived very deep down in the Earth's crust, several kilometers down. They weren't touched by the cataclysmic catastrophe. The only thing they would have noticed were the quakes.

Of course, everything within about 500 meters of the surface was killed brutally.

  • @ArT1Tuvsho very true

  • This would be the funniest way to die.

  • 5:22: Insert scary music and bloodcurdling scream here.

  • if that rock was any bigger it would change this movie a lot i think

  • Even though I didn't understand the Japanese language version of this simulation, I liked the music better in that one. ^_^

  • 5:50 -- 'It is thought that an impact like this happened SIX times in the violent past of the Earth's history. If there was life, it was assumed that it too would have been wiped out, only to begin again."

Wow! So life on Earth got wiped out say two or three times, and then began again!

Bring 'em on, then, we'll always be back! :)

  • see u at 2013

  • I highly dought that the world is going to end. The world might change a little but I dought its going end.

  • @nuclearmisile year 1?

  • @nuclearmisile see you in hell

  • @nuclearmisile don't you mean 2012?

  • @nuclearmisile see ya at heaven or hell lol jk XD

  • Might as well stay in bed

  • faje

  • Thats just about the most depressing thing you could watch

  • no i saw a video similar where the earth died and the core going into the sun i cried

  • it gona never happen, lol

  • Makes our problems seem rather insignificant!

  • How did the camera man and narrator survived? lol

  • The photography was done by a unmanned drone helicopter called a "K-beater"..............and the narrator was on the international space station when it occurred.

(of course, difficulties will arise when the air runs out, but he's safe for time being.)

  • Mesmerising................and disturbing.

  • who is narrating this?.

  • I think its Will Lyman.

  • Sorry........my mistake..........its not Will narrating this..........his voice is an octave lower.........its another guy from the discovery channel........Ill have to look again.

  • nice

  • 2:51=bowl of lava and cereal instead of "milk" and cereal

  • dude wuldn't it of been easier to make a video that's 4-5 seconds wiv "WE'RE ALL GNA DIE!"being screamed out loud

  • I remember watching this like 4 years ago. Great program if you don't take it seriously.

  • i feel better already

  • what a jolly program this is.

  • Man... better get a hell of alot of sun screen lol

  • Could this be what happened to Mars?

  • No.

  • Yes

  • OMG!!!!!

  • japan would get fucked!! hawaii too probably!

  • I fact Japan would suffer the easier and quicker death.

  • yeah if they did get hit

  • holy shit....

  • And that's how Godzilla came to Earth.

  • @mrharryballzonya thats how chuck norris came to earth.

  • Is this Liam Neeson?

  • @LindB377 Doesn't sound ANYTHING like him! He played in Star Wars I.

  • The best way to deal with these is gravity just like the way they ate thinking of dealing with the expansion of the sun use gravity to move earth away from the sun after it is finished expanding in about 4 billion years time then move it back closer when it because a white dwarf.WHat they could do if they could get something like a gravity generator thing launch it.I forget how they explained it with asteroids but one goes behind to slow it down and one is in front to change direction. :)

  • all the frogs and the dolphins and the blue whales would die : (

  • so would we

  • u think?

  • This would be quite hard, you don't just 'nuke' down a meteor that size. Before it gets close enough to nuke it we'd be screwed allready!

Cause we might not even be able to split it in two parts.

  • youre right

  • if you nuke the astroid, massive chunks of it would be raining on earth

  • Lmfao, do you know what exactly a wormhole is or how one is supposed to work?

  • ...

would anything be able to survive very deep in the ground?

if not we're all f**ked XD

  • I believe earth has only been totally cooled down till 36KMs deep. So if that meteor strikes, and the sea's would all dry up, what'd you think about earth? All cooled down earth parts will be heated at the heat of the sun maybe even hotter, and will become magma. So I don't think we will survive that.

  • wouldnt this impact knock the earth out of orbit?

  • i'm looking at the bright side property in south bristol may be affodable for me after the impact:)

  • Yes, if you like charred ground!

  • I'll be an astronaut i hope ill be on a mission on the moon when that will happen

  • how will you survive? lol

  • lol at least he could say he lasted longer than us.

  • Haha, it's always Asia that's most affected. Complete and utter bc, more likely to strike other side of the world.

  • Just joking, but seriously, the whole Earth would be affected. Let's hope this doesn't happen soon.

  • you wouldnt have time to worry about something like this, youd probably be dead quicker than a bullet hitting you in the head.

  • we r screwed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Yes, either way we're screwed, the whole of humanity.

  • I think it was called Dooms day I remember watching this

  • What is the name of the Discovery Channel program which contained this?

  • way over exaggerated life would continue

  • Really? How?

  • uh.... ok, whatever you say.

  • but then how are dinosaur bones explained...

  • The size of the meteorite of the dinosaurs wasn't nearly as big as this one.

  • Awesome, thanks for uploading. It seems others only have the japanese version these days.
