  • OMG THATS IT? LAMEST HELP VID. EVER

  • >_< i love how you make it look so friggin easy. i've been under my truck for over an hour, doing exactly what i just saw in the vid, and i am getting nowhere XD

  • thanks this help me a lot lol

  • @the idiot beneath me. go inhale some then. troll ass nigga. what was the point in that lame ass comment?

  • You twist the fucking thing. OK I hope that works!

  • Try turning your key on and off 3-4 times. Check for leaks afterwards too just incase

  • this is all very nice but does any one have any tips on PRESSURIZING the fuel system after filtr is replaced

  • lol@educate yourself. Let em know OG

  • @frozzenwater What r the names of the tools u r using - (1) looks like some sort of clamp on the line & (2) looks like a wrench 2 loosen/remove. Thanks in advance.

  • Thank you everyone for watching the video

  • how important is it to depressurize the system can you do it without depressurizing or will it be alot harder

  • @KelliferandLanifer We have done it without depressurizing the system, but you must wear eye protection for safety reason. Pressurized fuel may spray out from the lines after disconnected.

  • @frozzenwater could you tell me exactly what your doing with the metal tool, to get the gas line off. i bought one, but i think i'm using it wrong. do you have to open it after the metal slides inside the line a little

  • with FUEL INJECTOR..Do you need to disconnect the NEG battery cable..open the cap from fuel tank before remove the fuel filter?? You need more steps....not just get in there and remove the fuel filter???

  • @CharlieDoan Removing the gas cap will not help in depressurizing the fuel pressure. It will only vent the fuel vapors in the tank. Some vehicle are equip with schrader valves and pressure can be released safely with the proper pressure gauge. Other may need the use of a scan tool to depressurize the system.

  • ok i read there may be a schraeder valve on the fuel ine or on the fuel rail, how did you depressuerize the system ???

  • when you disconnect the lines does the fuel stop flowing or do u have to black the line to stop it

  • I have never had one come off that easy!! How hard has everone else found it after 30,000 miles of road conditions??

  • OMG! I'd been trying 4 what seemed like 4ever to muscle the filter out. Thank u sooo much for this video!

  • @longshot8000 glad i could help

  • Respond to this video... your welcome

  • gloves r for pussies

  • @crewdogg15 Handling gasoline without protection for you skin can cause life threatening problems. educate yourself

  • @frozzenwater so will breathing it. And burning it. Educate yourself

  • Skips the steps for relieving fuel system pressure. However, this video does a great job of showing how to use the quick disconnect tool to remove the fuel lines from a fuel filter for a fuel injected engine. Very short but excellent for this often confusing and difficult step! By the way, the quick disconnect tool IS REQUIRED for many fuel filter quick disconnects, including a 2001 Ford Explorer!

    Thanks,

    Daniel

  • Most fuel injected Ford's have a Schraeder valve on the left fuel rail (looks just like a tire inflation valve).

Disconnect the battery, place a rag inder the valve, watch your eyes or wear eye protection, and depress the pin in the valve to release pressure in the system.

  • Thanks for showing this! I used to clamp the tool on, then curse and yank it in a million random ways until it magically came off forty minutes later.

  • Is thre another part that shows how, and where, to depressurize the fuel system before removing the filter? I think I found the release valve on my car but I'm not sure. It looks like a valve stem and it's sticks out from what looks like the fuel lines that feed the injectors. I'm not sure though what to do with it. No jokes please.

  • yes, you can use that valve to depressurize the fuel systm. Dont remove the valve stem, use a screw drive to press in slighty. Be careful of the fuel coming out of the valve

  • frozzenwater:

    thanks for the video.

where can i find the depressurize fuel system on a 2002 e250.

    thanks in advance.

  • if you look along the fuel rail you find it on the driverside, but you may havt to remove the dog house

  • thanks for your help.

  • @JackJamesElias in the future you can also have the vehicle running, and pull the fuel pump relay out, and it will kill the pump and use what fuel it can.

  • very helpful...was really stuck on what the tool did once I got it until I saw the video, thanks!

  • you are welcome
