The only other rock frontmen who come the closest to Freddie Mercury are Paul Rodgers and Bono. I think they are the only two musicians alive that have the 3 qualities that made Freddie Mercury the greatest rock and roll frontman who has ever lived, 1. They are both are amazing singer-songwriters. 2. They are both have terrific charisma and showmanship. 3. They both have wonderful stage presence. The fourth quality that makes Freddie Mercury stand alone is his tenor voice. F.M. #1 forever

I discovered this only an hour and half ago or something and this is a great tribute to Freddie Mercury. This isn't about covering Queen songs, but playing these songs in memory and honour of one of the greatest people who ever walked the earth. I think Freddie would've been proud of this.

My favourite performers at the concert were (apart from the remaining members of Queen): George Michael, Lisa Stansfield, Zucchero, Seal, Annie Lennox, David Bowie and Liza Minnelli... oh, what the hell - they ALL did a great job and they all paid tribute to Freddie brilliantly! :)

back to previous comments about hammer to fall song.. the singer is not tryin to make the stage his own, how can you when the Queen emblem is above u, the artist is simply caught up in the crowd as slash did previously.. freddie touched more than just us.. even superstars have their idols and well with god and freddie's backing.. they graced us with 1 hell of an extravganza.. all l can say is... we need an ENCORE!!!!

I absolutely love Queens. They are an amazing band. This is a great homage to a man who undoubtedly pioneered Vocalized performance in a theatrical form. But, I also must say that this man(G.Cherone) was a total disrespect to the both the event and the Band Queen, particularly Bryan, how dare Gary grab and thrust his head like that. I know showmanship-I'm a singer/musician like most of us here but I'm also certain that Bryan is not his close friend to be doing that. Even if he was..(continue..)
