  • Please excuse me while I go bawl my eyes out...

  • I'm reduced to weeping little boy. she is something else.

  • Julie Lee played last night with Sarah Siskind in Bayport, NY and she sang this song...You could here a pin drop. A really great talent - brillinat songwriter and nice person. You should try to see them while they are out on tour.

  • Did anyone else hear "three little boys" in the beginning? ? All my friends heard it too. Then I replayed it and it said two.

  • I want to meet (and kiss) Alison. She's so hot

  • gives me chills..

  • I love this song, it is my favorite, but it is so sad.

  • Ninna1967 my name is nina

  • Just beautiful... Love this.

  • My Girl Scout troop went camping when I was nine, and we visited the site. Ever since, I have had this weird sort of internal sensing of children's spirits. It's fairly scary. This song makes you feel the compounded sadness. Not only for the children, to be lost in the winter in the mountains, but also without the luxuries we are accustomed to today in everyday living. The parent's despair, the boys lonliness and uncertainty, the urgency of the search... all captured by this song.

  • love this song, and love all the comments,no one could sing it better.YES it made me cry.

  • Thank you for this, not only does it make me cry due to the lyrics but it always makes me think of my dad.

  • Tragically beautiful, touching and moving. Alison Krauss is an angel walking among us. God Bless her and the gift of music that she gives us.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this beautiful but tragic song. Every time I hear it I cry like a child, and Im a man!

  • @evilsarge88 You're welcome! Yes it's a beautiful and tragic song and it should make all people cry, both men and women. :)

  • @evilsarge88

its a really beautiful piece of verbal poetry that's also one of the most heartbreaking and horrifying (in a good way) songs I've ever heard. it doesn't matter how many times you hear it, its simply impossible to listen without dissolving into tears.

  • When I was a little girl from Crawford Co. Penna. my Grandmother used to tell me that her parents often talked about those little boys. My Great Grandparents were from Cochranton Pa.

  • It's a story that really makes you cry!

  • LUV IT,LUV IT,LUV IT
