This is the normal jacking point for an RV. There is a jack point fitting screwed into the threaded fitting and the jack has a receptical that fits over the it so that it can not slip off. As long as the wheel is choked on the other side this is safe and the way that the Vans RV is designed to be jacked.
I looked at this page to find out about a RV lift. RV ( as in a camper or travle trailer ) not a air plain wing jack....
