you can repeat the same thing over n over again it doesn't make it real. it's called faith not KNOWLEDGE. believing in Jesus doesn't change a thing in day to day life. it's just a comfort but god doesn't intervene the way the myths of the bible said. there is no parting of waters w/o eathly explanations. repeating scripture doesn't make it any more evident and that's OK.
@Pisces31660 i respect your opinion and in one sense you are correct, we must have faith to come to Christ, however i would be lying if i said the changes he has made in my life one day to the next were not real and tangible and undeniable. is it a matter of personal faith, sure and in spite of all the evidence of creation, all the Biblical apologetics much wiser men than i have written, it is in the end a choice to accept or reject who he is. is he savior or not, i say yes. you must decide also
@backcreekqurtet well i'm genuinely happy that the "belief" in Jesus (rather than the "knowledge" of Jesus) has had such positive impact in your life. I enjoy christian music, that's the only way i feel touched by the"spiri"t.whatever that is...emotionalism is suppose... but so does theatre, which does the same thing....i've decided....since there is no "evidence" i do not accept what organized religions claim w/o their having proof, however i "hope" there is a God, Jesus, or Buddha.

We know Jesus though the Word, because He IS the Word. As you read it, the Holy Spirit reveals to you who Jesus is.
We are not "self-proclaimed" we are "God Proclaimed"...very different. You can know Jesus to, but you must first accept Him by faith as your Savior...then all you gotta do is read the Word...and you'll get to know Him. He's not a mystery to the Christian. :)

One can't define a word using the same word (only George Bush thinks he can do that...that dunce) so using man written scripture doesn't proove anything. It's just repeating yourself. sor of like sayint "there WERE weapons of mass destruction" (though evidence to the contrary was finally prooven) i'm sure you get my meaning by now.
