Hi Spenser. Wow this is a great project. I work at UGA with college students with learning disabilities who have problems learning to read. They depend on assistive technologies and alternative media (eText) in order to access learning. We need young scientists like yourself developing new and innovative ways for individuals with LD to read and write using technology. I hope that I get to meet you someday. Keep up the good work. Noel Gregg
Hi Spenser, This is a GREAT project! I have to type Jeremy's responses for him because he does not know how to spell. Wouldn't it be wonderful if he could get what he wants to say typed and emailed/posted like this? I will forward this to his classmates on Monday. He is in a classroom with other yound adults (20years and older) who are learning to work and live in the community. If you want we can sometime link you two via a webcam, so you can talk to him yourself.
Hi Spencer. I'm having trouble posting comments. So please ignore my other messages if they all come through. I am trying one last time. My question is whether or not you only want kids to answer your survey? There may be a lot of adults who can help too.
Text for this video: Hi, My name is Spencer. I am in the 4th grade. I am doing science fair project on disabilities and the future of assistive technology. Anyone who has a disability and uses assistive technology can do this survey. I want to find out how people with disabilities use their assistive technology and what they hope to see in the future. I am going to build prototype based on your results. Maybe I will build it one day when I grow up. Thanks for your help!
